I'm lucky, I got a 95 biscuits. Was able to significantly overclock for thermal opportunity. Been using for 4 months now and it is flawless. The overclocking journey is also very interesting and complex, were far from old school days overclocking.

I bought this knowing full well that the CPU _does not_ carry an onboard graphics processor, as that is a feature which I have rarely had actual need for in a desktop or workbench PC, if a GPU dies I typically simply pop in / buy another one. Does not affect my overall rating. What matters is, that I purchased this CPU to replace my 8th Gen i5, which is 6-core and locked in @ 3.7ghz from the factory, an Acer computer which is now my secondary/web hosting machine. With that being said, I cannot even compare the performance of the efficiency cores in this new i5 to my previous, that alone is in another league with them running at 4.3ghz @41 Celsius under medium load, I have the Performance Cores clocked up to 5.5ghz and I clock temps of 26 Celsius at idle on the CPU, my motherboard (Asus Prime Z790-A) at 22/23, with the CPU running up to 41 to 43 degrees crunching day to day tasks such as debugging code, debugging a website or media-file transfers across internal and or external drives. It handles multi-gigabit download speeds of 100gb+ sized games within those same temperature ranges at the same (slight) overclock speeds. I am using a $23 heatsink with a fan inside of a CoolerMaster case with 3 case fans. I bought the cooler as a stop-gap measure to keep the initial build price down, but it seems I may actually use the thing until I actually _need_ a more heavy-duty CPU cooling solution. What I suggest to anyone fairly new to home-building a computer: DO YOUR RESEARCH ON RECOMMENDED VOLTAGES, have your motherboard's bios set to factory defaults upon initial setup, and make sure nothing is being overvolted. Some less scrupulous companies either outright hide, or sell "pre-overclocked" builds that are actually designed with their own malicious form of planned obsolescence, so what they do is run the CPU / other components at needlessly-high voltages knowing full well that all it does is create extra heat therefore causing rapid premature wear on your CPU, motherboard, RAM and even your boot drive if they can. A computer should last you 6 years to a decade unless you abuse it. There is NO reason, in the modern day of malware-awareness, that a brand new computer should only last you a few years without outright 'dying' or having some other form of catastrophic component failure resulting in a partial or near-total rebuild.

I come from an i5 4690k, no complains about that processor. But wow, everything is snappy now! Most apps loading is almost instantaneous, with the same SATA SSD that I used before. I had to manually adapt my old cooling system, because the mounting size was different, but eventually I will change it. This CPU takes more power that my previous processor, so when it hits 130 or 150 watts the AIO fan spins and the temps go up to 80+ or 90+ °C. Power saving mode from the mobo helps when it happens if you dont want to keeo temps at that numbers, but I guess it's all normal with this moddel. Iddle temps go from 28 to 34 with an old 140mm Corsair AIO. Below 100 watts it remains under 70-80, again I assume it's normal. The degradation issue reported with 13th and 14th generation got me worried for sure, but I got my mobo updated to the lastes BIOS, so we will see how it goes. For 175 dollars, no other CPU was close in performance. Great value and performance overall so far!

Upgrading to the Intel Core i5-13600KF Desktop Processor from my Ryzen 5800X3D has been a game-changer for my computing experience. This powerhouse of a processor, with its 14 cores (6 P-cores and 8 E-cores) and a substantial 24M cache, has significantly enhanced the performance of my system. The ability of this CPU to turbo up to 5.1 GHz is particularly impressive, contributing to a remarkable improvement in processing speed and overall system responsiveness. Whether I'm running demanding applications, engaging in high-end gaming, or juggling multiple tasks simultaneously, the i5-13600KF handles it all with an ease that is immediately noticeable. The efficiency and speed are especially evident in CPU-intensive tasks, where this processor clearly outshines its predecessor.Beyond just raw performance, what I appreciate about the Intel Core i5-13600KF is its balance between power and efficiency. The division of Performance-cores and Efficiency-cores means that it smartly allocates resources based on the task at hand, ensuring optimal performance without unnecessary power consumption. This aspect is crucial for a balanced system that's powerful yet not overly taxing on energy use. The upgrade process itself was straightforward, and the compatibility with a wide range of motherboards and hardware made the transition smooth. In terms of gaming, the difference is palpable, with smoother frame rates and faster loading times. For creative tasks like video editing and 3D rendering, the performance boost has been equally beneficial, noticeably reducing the time spent on rendering and processing. All in all, the Intel Core i5-13600KF has proven to be an excellent upgrade from the Ryzen 5800X3D, offering a superb blend of performance, efficiency, and versatility. It's a 5-star processor that I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their system for an enhanced computing experience.

13th gen Intel CPU is the price sweet point right now. I picked this up while on sale for my PC build and the performance is better than what I expected. A solid CPU whether you're going to overclock it just running it at stock parameters. Be aware that that the KF means it doesn't have integrated GPU so you will need a discrete graphic card on your motherboard. 5 stars.

Don’t be fooled by that I5 name this thing is crazy fast upgraded from a I7 9700k and HOLY the fps gains were crazy paired up with my 6800XT MSI X TRIO. This thing is faster than all of 12th gen yes including the i9 12900k when paired with a decent kit of DDR5 ram I got 6400mhz trident Z5 rgb with it and man it has been a joy to play on this, everything runs so smooth, highly recommend this chip the most out of the 13th gen lineup if ur strictly only gaming like I am. Things a beast and got it for only $380 CAD never thought I’d see the day where an i5 has 14cores and 20 threads but guess we’re here

Excellent CPU, great gaming performance, and the midrange King of Productivity. Typical of Intel, it just works flawlessly with everything, 14 cores & 20 threads deal easily with heavy work loads. Fast, 5.5-5.7 Ghz overclock, no problem! Efficient gaming chip, uses a little over half the power as a 9th Gen 9600k (that's with a 5.5GHz overclock) and UK summertime in game temps rarely exceed mid 50°C's. (cooled with 280mm AIO) Flexible, use with DDR4 or DDR5, so there's a wide range of mobo's to choose from. Impressive CPU.

I bought the Intel i5-13600KF processor for my new computer build, attracted by its excellent performance-to-price ratio. After using it, I understand why it's hailed as one of the best value processors in today's market. It's incredibly powerful for its price range and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a robust processor that punches above its price point.
