I have three AC fans hooked up to this and I'm able to lower their speed and noise floor with a simple turn of a dial. Perfection.

One weekend, I decided it was time to optimize the ventilation in my workshop. With various tools and machines in operation, I needed better control over the fan speed to ensure a comfortable and efficient working environment. That’s when I installed the AC motor speed controller, which I had heard was a reliable solution for such tasks.Setting it up was straightforward; I connected it to the power supply and the fan with ease. The 120V, 15A capacity reassured me that it could handle the load without any issues. As I adjusted the settings, I was amazed at how smoothly the fan responded. The variable speed feature allowed me to dial in just the right amount of airflow to keep the workspace cool without creating excessive noise. The overload protection was an added comfort, ensuring that the equipment would remain safe even during heavy use. I appreciated the subtle hum of the fan, precisely tuned to my needs. By the end of the day, I realized that this small device had transformed my workspace, making it far more productive and enjoyable, so I could focus on what truly mattered—my projects.

This is a handy controller for changing the speed of a motor, or dimming a heat lamp or controlling a heater.I tried it on a few things, and it worked great.Inside is a BTA41-800BW two-way thyristor TRIAC, which is switching on/off at a variable point of the AC sine wave to "regulate the voltage", so for sure do not use this on anything with a switching power supply. It won't work. The voltage displayed seems to be an approximation, but that's ok. It still tells you what's going on.I like that it displays something to begin with. Most devices like this don't.
