Product Description
KnuKonceptz Kolossus amp installation kit's feature our top of the line Kolossus Fleks power and ground cables. Made up of ultra flexible pvc and ultra fine tinned strands of oxygen free copper (OFC), the Kolossus Kable is the standard for which all others are compared to. The KOL-AK4 amp kit provides 16.5 feet of blue power wire and 3 feet of translucent black (smoke) ground wire. The KnuKonceptz FH-44 fuse holder with a 120A fuse is provided within the KOL-AK4 amp install kit, but can be upgraded to a maximum of 150A fuse (sold separately). The fuse holder does not come installed within the cable, this allows the installer to place the inline fuse holder in an optimum location during installation. It also allows the installer to extend the power wire 1-3' by using the inline fuse holder to add cable to the main run (leaving the 16.5' as one unit and using the FH-44 to "splice" a few feet of wire)
Signal for your 2 channel amplifier installation kit is carried by the Klarity Kable 5 Meter (16.25') RCA Cable. The Klarity RCA Cable is a copper braid shielded coaxial RCA that uses a Hybrid metal/molded RCA termination with strain relief for a durable, low loss connection to your head unit and amplifier. A separate remote turn on lead is included. This wire is connected to your radio's power antenna lead or amp turn on lead (refer to your head unit's manual) Your amplifier's output is sent through KnuKonceptz Kord 12 gauge speaker wire, 20 feet of 12 gauge clear blue speaker wire is included with the kit.
The KOL-AK4 is a complete kit, meaning additional no additional parts are required to complete your installation.

How many watts can this amp kit handle? At KnuKonceptz, we do not use "watts" to rate our amp kits. This is a very inaccurate method to determine what the proper gauge wire required for your amp installation. Many amp manufactures do not represent the output of their product accurately in watts. Please refer to your amplifier's fuse rating, this is a number a manufacture can not fake, well they could but it would put their product in harms way! Add up the fuses on the end of your amp (two 30A fuses = 60A total draw) If this number is under 120A, this kit will fit your application. If over 150A, a larger gauge wire would be required. For this we recommend the KnuKonceptz Kolossus 0 Gauge amp kit

- Using American Wire Gauge (AWG) standards, the gauge of stranded wire is determined by the total area of the conductor.
- To calculate this you would take the area of each strand and add it together. This area, in square mm, then determines gauge.
- Diameter is not as critical with stranded wire, this is due to the tiny air gaps between each strand. Diameter may fluctuate with strand size and how tightly wound the rope of the cable is.
- The smaller the number, the larger the wire, until you reach zero or aught (0). From zero, you then have double aught (00), three aught (000) and so on.
- Based on AWG, Kolossus Kable is slightly larger than traditional 4 gauge
Every KnuKonceptz amp installation kit clearly states these critical specs:
- Wire type - CCA or OFC
- American Wire Gauge
- Max Load (amps)
- Tinned Copper - What the Pros use!
- When bare copper is exposed to oxygen, it oxidizes over time (turns brown/green).
- These contaminants are damaging to the cable's ability to conduct electricity.
- Tin provides a protective barrier from oxygen to the bare copper underneath.
- By adding a thin layer of tin to each strand, the cable is no longer able to oxidize.
- Tin does not react with oxygen and therefore the cable will never change color or have any change in its ability to conduct electricity

I used this for my Audi.4 gauge usually holds from 1000 to 1500w rms safely.Well, I'm using this for only 340 watt rms though.Great product and quality.

I ordered this kit as well as a few other items for my LoC, amp, and sub installation for my 11th gen Civic. The 4G cable is far better than I had hoped it would be, very flexible, and it is OFC (Its been tinned so it won't look like copper). For anyone who isn't sure or doesn't know wiring, ground and positive cables are pretty much the same, just good practice to use different colors of the same gauge. Good practice would be to go actually research what it is you need thoroughly.This kit is solid for a 4G power/ground setup for my amp, although I'm using a distro block before it goes to my AMP itself. The length of the positive is more than enough, I was able to cut enough for the ANL fuse block near my battery, as well as a good length to go from my distribution block all the way to my amp. There's less of the black version which is meant to be used for ground, where I'm having to install my distribution block vs my amp, I had just enough cable, but for anyone not grounding directly or installing next to the amp I would recommend purchasing more black in a longer length.The 12G included for speaker I'm using for my sub, the cladding on it is great, its very flexible, and I'm really happy with it. 3rd party ferrules fit just fine so no issues there either.The ANL fuse holder is solid, what you would expect from a smaller fuse holder, I just wish car manufacturers would make it easier to install aftermarket components like this. Pretty easy to install, just had to finagle the gasket around the ferrule and heat shrink before installing it to the fuse block, but otherwise its holding great.I won't be using the RCA cables included by they look really solid, flexible like the rest of the cable, and definitely quality. I will however be using the remote signal wire they included, the jacket on it is thicker than standard 18g, and I might as well. The included terminals and heat shrink is pretty standard and works well, no complains there either.I do not recommend anyone to install their own electrical equipment if they aren't able to pick up information and understand wiring basics. I also don't recommend relying entirely on this review to determine if this is the right kit for your car. Know how much wire you need before you order, coming up short is more costly, and its best to know what you're doing and what you need in advance. Otherwise, I definitely recommend this product.

I’ve read other reviews saying that the RCA cables don’t fit… but the terminals have fancy covers that can be removed which allowed it to fit without issues.I’ve also read that people say the power cable doesn’t fit in the fuse housing… but the fuse housing has grommets that can be removed to fit the 4guage wire without issue.Overall impressed with the quality and everything works as it should. Would highly recommend and I would buy again for my next project.

True ofc 4ga wire at a decent price nice and flexible will be used to install my taramps md1800.1 for my x8v.3 in a 6th ordergreat kit just wish it came with ferrules or barrel style connectors instead of the spade style ones

It was perfect for what I needed, I’d always buy kits from brand stores and it would be 25% more for crappy wire. This whole kit was really good quality. It’s the third one I’ve bought and it’s well packaged and comes with almost all you need. Amplifiers these days take barrel connectors that squish down with the Allen key. Kit only has eyelet style connectors, other then that great kit. And if it came with barrels it would be 100%I had recently bought a bag of 100 barrel connectors so should be good the rest of my life

This kit is the real deal. The 4 ga wire is very thick with many fine strands. The sheath is quite flexible. Not too crazy about the fuse and holder and would rather use a resettable fuse. The nice bonus is the sub wire. It's so thick it's almost bigger than 10ga. Even the remote wire is of high quality with a nice flexible sheathing used in the bigger wire.

This is a great all in one kit. The OFC wire is good quality with more then adequate insulation protecting the wire. I preferred to solder all my terminals and not crimp as it's a superior way to properly do them.The speaker wire is well made, and is more the adequate for any runs you need to do. My only small complaints is the ground cable is a little on the short side. A few extra feet is needed for a full size vehicle to reach the proper grounding bolt. I made do using another location but not the proper grounding spot.. Also the RCA ends didn't fit snug on the amp, requires you crimp them a bit. Lastly the fuse holder black end caps don't accept the 4 gauge wire, so not as weather proof as it could be.The one person who said it introduced noise. You realize you run RCA and speakers runs on one side of the car and power on the other and keep them separated.. Have no problem with noise with this kit if you wire it properly.

Let me start this review with buyer beware...know your system needs before you buy 4 gauge wire kit!I was inputting a 600watt system to a 1400watt mono amp, thought I would buy this wire since the amp can take 4 gauge and for the best possible run. I've had a much larger system in the past (4x12 400rms each) and needed the best cables. I've had a lot of wiring done on my previous car (with distribution blocks, battery upgrades, anything that was need to push my system), but hands down, THIS PACKAGE IS THE BEST DAMN CABLES IVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!The power cable and ground cables are so thick and braided so well, it could barely fit in the gold ring terminals they give you and it is hard to find a wire crimper that can give you a solid connection. But once you get that connection, these cables will never fail. Unbelievable.The RCA and amp turn on wires are joined together making installation super easy. And might I add thick also!Package comes with everything you will need (ring terminals, banana plugs, sleeves for that professional look, and a great fuse and housing).This is a great buy for 1000watt systems and higher or if your looking to upgrade later. Do not buy this if you are putting in a basic 10" or 12" just to enjoy more bass with your stock system. Look at the 8 gauge they sell for half the price. I am almost certain if this is the quality they sell, every single one of their items will be professional grade.Great product throughout.
