Big improvement over the earlier generation of switches. I'm currently using it with 2 Lenovo Laptops via docking stations with 3 monitors each, along with a Macbook Pro (only one monitor for now) and a Blackberry Pi. There is some "glitchiness" with the Lenovos when I leave one unselected for a long period of time.... but I think that might be related to a bad USB-C cable I'm using to the docking station. Something to be aware of... Passing video over the USB-C cables requires good-quality cables... and the longer ones are probably not as good as the short ones. Just my $.02.

When I opened the box, I was VERY tempted to close the box and return it. My own fault for not reading the "fine print". It does NOT come with all the cables you need. You will have to supply the HDMI and the DisplayPort Cables. How many cables you need will depend on how many PCs you are using and how many monitors you plan to use. Please bear with me. I’ll try not to jump around too much, but it’s difficult because there are a couple of variables that make a difference in what you need. The switch comes ONLY with four USB cables. One end of the cable is USB, and the other is something I don't recognize, which appears to be specific to this KVM switch.Variable No. 1: How many PCs are you connecting? Each PC requires2 DisplayPort cables1 HDMI cableAdditionally, if you are using three monitors, the KVM switch needs2 DisplayPort cables1 HDMI cable for the OUTPUT ports. So, if you are using four PCs and three monitors, you will need:5 HDMI cables (one for each PC and one for the Output HDMI Port to one monitor)10 DP cables (two for each PC and two for the OutPut DP Port for two monitors)-- see following comment about DP/DP or DP/HDMIVariable No. 2 – your monitorsCheck your monitor connections. If your monitor has VGA and HDMI input ports, then you will need 1 HDMI cable and you will need 2 DisplayPort cables which are DP on one end and HDMI on the other end. The KVM switch has one HDMI Output and 2 Displayport Outputs. So stupid. Why not just make them all HDMI? In any case, you will need a cable with DP at one end and HDMI on the other end.If your monitor has input ports which are HDMI and DP, then a cable which is DP on both ends is required. How to connect everything:There are three OUTPUT port -- 2 x Display Port and 1 x HDMI.You attach the HDMI, to the HDMI Output and attach the other end into one of the monitors. You then have two OUTPUT DP ports. Depending on your monitor connection, you will either need two DP to DP cables, or you will need two DP/HDMI cables.Connect the DP end into the DP OUTPUT port and connect the other end into the monitors, depending on which connection the monitor has.Is it easy to set up? The "manual" is a joke. It is stupidly small and you need a magnifying glass to read it. See attached photo. It's literally smaller than the palm of your hand and it has the whole diagrams set up on it. The diagram should be at least on 8.5 x 11 paper. I could not see it and it was useless to me.I had to look for instructions online and it wasn't easy to find them. They also are not clear.First I had to figure out what cables I needed, and then I had to fiddle around to find out where everything fit. The manual and instructions were useless.Does it work? It appears to work and compared to the last KVM I had, the wires are a lot less bulky, so that's a plus. The wired remote switch has four buttons, one for each PC. There's a dim blue light above each button, but it's a matte black and the buttons are hard to see, so that's not great. It's also "slow" to switch between PCs. I counted about three seconds. Compared to my last KVM switch, it seems slow.Once you get it working, I highly recommend labeling the cables and their corresponding ports. i.e. cable 1 goes into port 1, cable 2 goes into port 2, etc.I'm scoring this 3 out of five because it doesn't have all the cables included, it doesn't give you a list of what you need to purchase separately, the manual is stupid small and the online instructions are difficult to find and are not clear. The unit itself seems to work and there is a 12 month warranty.

The KVM does everything it claims to do without issue. I'm pushing two 2k displays (165hz and 144hz) with HDR, all my peripherals pass through nicely, and using both Windows and Linux. This thing gets the job done!

I use this to swap between 3 computers and its connected to 2 1440p displays. They work at full resolution and at the rated refresh rate. Adaptive sync also works. One minor thing i noticed is that on my work laptop (mac os) the second screen resolution was not correctly detected and i had to set it manually but im unsure if this is a mac specific issue or if it is related to the kvm itself. either way it seems to work.however there are some minor things that make this a bit annoying to use. the included USB cables are way to short. they are 3ft which means its basically impossible to properly cable manage them under your desk because you run out of length. i would recommend getting some 6ft or longer usb cables. there are also only 3 usb ports to use. this is slightly annoying as they connect to my mouse, keyboard, and microphone but now i have nowhere to connect my webcam. another couple of ports would go a long way for usability. it does include a remote to switch the displays if the kvm is located somewhere that is inaccessible however the kvm itself has no way to mount under desks which is the only use case i can think of that would make the remote useful. for me this isnt a huge deal because i didnt plan on using the remote anyway but it is something to think about.at the end of the day im satisfied with this kvm. it does what it said on the box and is very useful if you have to manage several different machines on the same workstation.

works like advertise as in, switches to multiple computers.. but thats where it ends. When switching between inputs and back, windows will not stay on the screen they were.. and screen numbering also changes so you can't pass from one screen to the other without going pass another one first (3 screen setup: 2x 2K screen + laptop). This is going back.. its not usable as is.

To be fair the ad mentions the dp cables are not included BUT for the price of the kvm it should come with them. This kvm works with both older and newer laptops/pc's unlike other options on amazon. Would buy again for future setups.

I'm using it with two PCs right now and it's working well. There is some flickering of the display after changing but it only lasts a second and likely has more to do with the different refresh rates each computer is using.
