I used this to install a Sony XAV-AX8000 in my 2008 Honda Pilot EX-L (non-factory navigation) and it does work and ended up looking very nice in the end, however it was a super tight fit getting it installed. Assembling the bracketry was pretty simple. My EX-L takes the part labeled EX and everything went together fairly easily until I tried installing it in the car. The bolts lined up with the mounting points in the car, but when you try and put the dash piece back on that goes around the radio back on it is too tight around the top unless you force it which causes the dash piece to have a bit of a gap around the bottom. After this happened I figured I had used the wrong bezel so I tried the LX one which fit worse. I ended up reinstalling the EX part and it does work its just difficult to install. I suspect that if you put some washers under the top mounting points to space it out it may fit better, and if I ever end up doing that I will update my review. Overall, it does work and despite being a bit hard to install it does look pretty good.

Fit nicely between the head unit and 04 Pilot. Had to return because the car stereo was junk, but this is a pretty good kit. Make sure you have a really long, very skinny, Phillips head screwdriver available. To mount the "pocket" you'll need that.
