MikroTik famously includes the full version of RouterOS with every product they ship, from enterprise grade appliances to these home units. It's an excellent way to get into advanced networking without spending a lot of money. In particular I was able to configure VLANs to separate IoT device, home devices, and work machines - something normal products would struggle with.

this is a great device to act as gateway / router/ firewall with professional settings.All it is missing is a semi transparent mode in pppoe to get a wan ip and give it to the lan device behind it. But this is for a really specific use case.

Il router così come ogni prodotto della Mikrotik è fantastico nella programmazione_configurazione ma ovviamente considerato il costo non ha potenza tale da gestire al massimo della velocità le connessioni.Bello il colore.

I got this to replace a hEX S as I wanted a 2.5G connection. Well, even at 1G, the SFP link drops randomly for 2-3 minutes at a time. No such issue on the hEX. Strange, and deeply unfortunate — I really wanted to like this router.
