If you make a variety of tablesaw jigs (sleds) then you should be able to appreciate these. They're smooth operating, with balance discs (?) in the ends which allow your hands some freedom because they can't fall out of the miter groove. The best part of these is that they don't swell with moisture and stick like the wood strips I often make. I find it frustrating to build an accurate jig only to have it jam in the miter grooves at a later date. These have countersunk holes for fastening to your sled and the system works very well. These are a win.

Do not Purchase...No matter how loose the bars are adjusted to take up side slack the bars will not slide easily. Also, brass discs on each end prevent the bar to lift flush with the saw table in the miter slot. This prevents the bar from being tightened flush to the crosscut sled bottom--I have now removed the discs for easier use-definitely would not buy these again. There are many cheaper alternatives

I'm more of a mechanical guy than a woodworker, but I've use these sliders a couple of times and they've helped me make much straighter and nicer cuts when I was doing some finishing work.I'll be honest, when I first got them, I had a bit of a struggle figuring out how they work as they didn't come with instructions and I had never used anything like this before, but they were easy enough to figure out.Perfectly straight, they fit just right into the miter slot in my table saw and the wheels make for a nice smooth glide, preventing any jerky motions that will ruin the cut. They worked great for a newbie like me so I think they'll work good for others too!
