This worked fine upon replacement. The smoker design sucks, makes it very difficult to replace, but it's doable.

Our master built smoker kept kicking the GFI and got too hot when I used a plug in without the GFI. I replaced the heating element and works great! Saved me $400 to buy a new smoker. The replacement was easy to do myself. Great buy!
