I have used the Motive bleeder on my Porsche and Sprinter with excellent results, however, the 1118 did not fit my reservoir on a 2010 ford fusion. Had it fit I have every confidence in the Motive hydraulic bleeding system.

worked on my '09 Mazda 3. I find that you have to pressure the reservoir up and crack the lid a bit to let the air out before starting the bleeding operation.

Tried two other brands of adapters w/o success. This one fit the reservoir and sealed with the thicker of the two included rubber disks.

I bought this to help flush and bleed my GMC truck brakes after caliper replacement. I’m a 20-year automotive tech and I knew I’d be working on this job alone with no one to help me bleed the air out. Already having the Euro adapter for the Motive bleeder that works well, I figured this GM adapter would be a no brainer and make it a quicker process.I was wrong. Even with the thicker rubber seal washer installed, the aluminum adapter never properly sealed to the master cylinder reservoir. This resulted in a lovely mess of brake fluid all over the frame of my truck and the shop floor. After really, really abusing the adapter and reservoir, it sealed just enough (but still leaked) to get the job done. Overall I’m not impressed. The only upside is that the hose for this adapter is longer than the one that came with the Euro adapter. Strangely, the bag and its contents smelled like candy/fake fruit. This only made me wonder more about why I spent as much as I did on it. It’s not worth it.

I bought this adapter to pressure bleed brakes on GM and Ford vehicles because I had purchased one a few years ago and it worked very well. They offered it new or used and I bought the new one instead. The bag it came in said new on the label but there was a shop rag stuffed in it with fluid on it and fluid in the bag and there was fluid in the clear tubing and in the adapter. If I knew they were going to send a used one I would've chosen the used option and saved a few bucks.

I have used Motive Brake bleeding products for several years. They are a reasonably priced product to pressure bleed automotive brake systems.It is important to research your master cylinder inlet size and configuration. The Motive 1118 adapter is advertised to fit late model GM vehicles but also happens to be the correct adapter for my Ford/Lincoln vehicle. (The Ford adapter which I use on several other vehicles is similar but a larger diameter).The Motive 1118 adapter took a little effort to fit on the master cylinder reservoir - most likely my vehicle - not a big problem. The fit was tight and secure. The adapter come with two different thickness sealing washers - pick the best for your application.

Thin washer too thin, thick washer too thick for my 2019 Vette. Applied quite a bit of force and it held about 8lbs before leaking but it would not notch in (could have tried a pipe wrench but then id likely be replacing the master cylinder). Tried to get it to 15lbs and it blew brake fluid all over the engine and fenders, not goodAm done with it
