The quality of the pencils is good for a beginner. The quality of the sketch book is terrible though. Its tiny, the pages are thin, and there are only a couple of pages. I recommend buying a sketch pad along with this set.

Very high quality product. I bought this mostly because of the case but am VERY happy about the whole package. The case was exactly what I wanted - sturdy, well built, everything in it secured by "stretchy" loops (don't know what else to call 'em, LOL) And it's just the right size - easy to carry or throw into a backpack pouch.I'm glad the pencils are hex shaped instead of round, makes it easier to create chisel points and to keep rotating your pencil as you draw. And the range of hardness/blackness in the kit is larger than anyone would probably need. PLUS there's a good selection of ancillary items - the chalks, blending sticks, sandpaper pad, sharpening blade & sharpeners - and of course the oh-so-necessary plastic and kneadable erasers.The big surprise in this purchase, though, was access to their drawing library on their website! As far as I'm concerned that'll turn out to be worth more than the price of the product kit! Lots of "how to draw" booklets from what looks like beginner to advanced user levels. I read bits of two or three of these booklets and they appear to be really well done, easy to understand and follow. I'll be going back to their web site to really delve into that.I give this product 5 stars without any hesitation.

I got set from NiL-Tech of Electric Pencil Sharpener and Sketching Set thank you guys you have best costumers services and great products. Definitely I am your permanent costumer. I am a crafter but not an artist. I cannot draw a stick person. HOWEVER, my mother is an excellent artist. She does beautiful paintings using watercolors, oils, acrylics, charcoal, and of course sketches. For her birthday, I gave her this 33-piece Professional Drawing and Sketch Kit with Pencils, Erasers. From the large variety of sketching pencils, to the different types of erasers, to the graphite and charcoal sticks all the way to the pencil sharpener. She has used them. Currently, she is working on a sketch of her dog and it is starting to look wonderful. She loves the sketch pad and the different feel of the paper. AND, to have it all in one case is such a blessing because she can just pick it up on her way out the door and sketch whatever she sees along the way in her excursions to find the perfect "next" creation.She has even used these pencils to lightly sketch a large item on her watercolor paper or even her oil canvas. She can erase these pencil lines or leave them for interest. This was a wonderful gift for her. The best I've ever been able to give to her.

I have purchased 3-4 art sets on Amazon and this is by far the best one I have ever gotten!! From the case to the supplies, it rocks!!Actually I like this brand they have high quality products. The zipper case is sturdy and very durable, with a terrific well made zipper. You know, some zippers do not close easily, or are made shoddy but this one is durable! Once you open it up, every thing is strapped in place and does not come loose. Has a little strap for carrying too, if you do use it it just folds right into the set. It comes with so many wonderful art supplies too, that none of my previous art sets have included! The pencils are some of the best I've used and do not easily break and in fact I have yet the need to sharpen pencils and I have used this set a few times since receiving.What I Like about this Drawing/Sketch Kit:1. Every item has its place and you can keep the kit organized quite easily. Elastic bands hold pencils and other tools secure.2. The bag has a small carrying strap for ease of transport. It zips fine and seems well-crafted.3. You get two sharpeners and two kinds of erasers.4. You get 13 different kinds of pencils, sharpened and ready to go as well as three unsharpened ones (charcoal).5. You get charcoal and graphite sticks and paper stumps.6. A sandpaper block, metal cutter knife, and double tip pencil lengthens are also included.7. The kit is lightweight and easily portable.Everything I need to sketch while I'm waiting or relaxing somewhere is in this little bag.

I like NiL Tech products I have ordered in the past, electric pencil sharpener from them the Pencil set, just what I expected it to be. A major selling point for me was the case, and I'm happy to say it's as good as it sounds! I love to stay organized, and I want something that's easy to travel with, and this fits the bill perfectly. Like other reviewers mentioned, it's smaller than you'd expect, which makes it very portable. The canvas feels pretty durable, the zipper works very smoothly, and it even has a small loop for carrying. It also contains some extra elastic loops, so if you want to add other pencils or tools, there's plenty of room to grow. All the other tools seem to do their jobs well, although I have not done much with the charcoal yet. I love that this contains both the sticks and the pencils, so there's plenty of opportunity to experiment. The sharpeners work well, and the erasers are pretty comparable with the color pencils or castell options. Is 12 graphite pencils (5H, 4H, 3H, 2H, HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B, 8B), 1 ultra soft graphite woodless pencil (6B), 3 Charcoal Pencils (hard, medium, soft), 3 graphite sticks (hard, medium, soft), 1 kneaded eraser (for charcoal pencils), 1 white vinyl eraser (for charcoal pencils), 1 full metal double hole sharpener (for graphite pencils), 1 black sharpener (for charcoal pencils), 1 knife, 3 blending stumps 1 pencil extender, and 1 sandpaper pointer. What does all this mean you ask? I was clueless until my cousin and I used her kit to do a few sketches. The various graphite pencils included are identified by a number/letter combination, That combination helps determine the softness or hardness of the graphite. This set includes a good variety of graphites for both beginner and experienced artists. A beginner artist might choose a 2H, HB, 2B or a 4B. For a more experienced artist doing fine, realist work choose a 4H or 6B. The charcoal pencils included are great and really give dark, dramatic lines. Having the charcoal in the form of a pencil is much neater than a charcoal stick and with a sharp, fine point can really allow you to get dramatic details in your sketch. The package comes with a website address where you can get free tutorials on sketching. They were very good!
