Nordictrack Commercial 1300 Elliptical Ramp Wheel

Since replacing the wheels, it’s very squeaky despite cleaning everything and lubrication. Please help.

This part was the perfect solution to our broken elliptical. Fixed it right up!

Installation is fairly simple. The only issue is these wheels are slightly narrower than the origionals. I place a small washer on each wheel to take up the slack. They work perfectly and it's the quietest my Nordictrack elliptical has worked in a year. Would definitely recommend. Oh yeah, the price is great also.

Well, you know you've hit your elliptical hard when both ramp rollers fail within a week of each other. They cracked and flaked and all of a sudden it felt like cross-country skiing over a bed of gravel and loose scree. UGH. So far, these replacement wheels have been perfect, and they seem marginally tougher than the items they were replacing, so hopefully they'll last longer than three years. They are expensive as all get-out, but cheaper than buying a new elliptical machine.Notes about replacement:- I used these for my Nordictrack Elliptical machine, and this size seems to be FAIRLY universal, but I recommend checking your model number in a web-search first, by typing your model number plus replacement parts in the search bar. You'll find many sites offering the right parts in the right size, but of course for higher cost than on amazon. Once you've gotten the right part number, just search that here and prime away.- For my elliptical (and I believe most other similar models), replacement can be a challenge if you're not familiar with the process, or if--like me--you're not a mechanically-inclined person. I had a hard time finding any youtube videos on how to replace ramp rollers on elliptical machines. I finally found one. NOTE: YOU WILL NEED A PAIR OF SNAP RING PLIERS to complete the job. (I was not familiar with this tool before doing this replacement, but it's similar to a pair of needle-nose pliers, but with a tiny prong at each tip of the pliers head. These prongs are made to fit into tiny holes in snap rings. Snap rings are similar to washers, but don't form a complete circle and they have some "give" in them.)- The key for the Nordictrack machines is to remove the cap piece that sits at the bottom of the roller ramp (the place where the "ski poles" of the machine reach the furthest back they can go). This cap piece is usually held in place by a couple phillips head screws. Once you've removed the cap, you'll need to pull the "ski pole" as far back as you can with one hand, while prying upward against the top rail of the roller ramp. The rail will be slightly flexible rubber, so with steady pressure, you'll be able to free the "ski pole" from the roller ramp, exposing the roller wheel you want to replace. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REPLACE THE WHEEL unless you free the base of the "ski pole" arm from the roller ramp.- Once you have the roller exposed, you'll see that it's held in place by a snap ring (usually right up against the roller, so you might want a headlamp to help you find the holes in the ring). Use your snap ring pliers to remove the snap ring. Slide the old roller off, slide the new roller on. Carefully replace the snap ring (or replace with a new one) into the groove to hold the roller in place.- Return the "ski pole" arm into the roller ramp by lifting the top edge of the rail and using steady pressure to slide it home.Good luck!

After wife complained for weeks about our NordicTrack and the noise I finally took a look and saw the ramp wheel had worn out. I purchased this replacement wheel and had in a few days. With not too much effort was able to replace the original and give it a try. Nothing, quiet as a mouse! It has been several months now and the eliptical works great. After three years I am happy that this is the only thing I have had to fix on it. I was concerned because of the number of reviews on elipticals and failure rate.
