this item was good build quality but it caused a vinnette at 28mm (full frame). i would think 35mm or above on full frame would be safe

It is the perfect replacement for Leica 25-50mm/f1.2 plastic lens hood, at half the weight and 1/3 the height. Of course, it might not function as well as the original, but it provides better protection from damage, since it is made of alloy material. In addition, a 82mm lens cover fits this hood. The original lens hood is too bulky, but this one gives the lens a sleek and modern look. I will buy PATIKIL 72mm lens hood for my other expensive prime lenses.
