Your cart is empty.The POWERTEC mini gulp dust hood is the perfect solution for catching dust, chips and debris from your machines. It can be used on your chop saw, table saw, lathe, drill press and other machines. Just place it behind, underneath, or wherever is convenient on your machine. Mounting flange has pre-drilled holes for you to use when attaching your device. Measures 13-1/2" x 7-1/4" with a 4" dust hose port. Flange is 7/8" wide. The 4" dust port has a built-in guard. Measured Dimension: Nominal end: 4" port (O.D.3-57/64" to 4" flexible hose.) Inside dimension of hood opening: 6-15/16" x 11-3/4".

I bought this to install behind my mitre saw because I was building a new mitre saw station. I recessed it into the floor of a slanted 'trough' at the back of the counter behind my saw. With a couple of baffles and my DC system, it's really cut down on the sawdust when I do my chop-cuts.Powertec products are great -- I've not been let down with any of the myriad of powertec products I've bought over the years.

This is a great dust chute. Sturdy with consistent and smooth surface. My intended use was to mount it inside of a mobile miter saw cart with built in hood. The problem for my use was its height and depth were too large to fit in my cabinet with shop vac and dust separator. Additionally, the 4" to 2.5" adapter to connect to shop vac adds additional height. My solution was to find a much smaller funnel with 2.5" connector. Again, no problem with the product. It's great for what it is but if you are planning on mounting inside a cabinet that is shared with a shop vacuum than it's probably too big and I don't think the 4" opening would add benefit since it would then connect straight to a reducer anyways.
