Pampas grass is becoming ever more popular. Therefore, you should plant the ornamental grass in a special place in your garden. Many places are suitable for the purple pampas grass, be it in the front garden as a screen or even as a tub plant on your terrace. Simple and easy to grow.
Planting tips: Ideally sow the seeds in seed trays or small flower pots and keep on your warm windowsill. This is easily possible all year round. Light germinator! Simply press the seeds lightly onto a moist growing substrate, (e.g. seed soil, potting soil or compost). Don't cover the seeds with soil. Keep the soil evenly moist (no waterlogging) and the first shoots will start to sprout in no time.
The germination time is about 10 to 20 days at room temperature. If the plant is large enough, you can either transplant it or even split it. Pampas grass is an ornamental grass, which is well loved also in winter for its decorative appearance and even when covered with snow it attracts attention.
The leaves have a bold appearance to viewers, whereas the stalks of the flowers look almost delicate. But this should not deceive the gardener, as the pampas grass is a robust and very stable ornamental grass. A weather-protected location might be an advantage, but not a primary condition for strong and healthy growth.
Sun is important. The plant needs sun to live and without, it grows smaller and less full as well as less pollinated.

RIP off!!!! This is a false advertisement if I ever did see one. Seeds did NOT germinate pampas grass. VERY VEEY disappointed. Look elsewhere for new seeds 😡😡😡

The "grass" seed that I received from the seller was miniature cat-tails. Absolutely nothing but normal green and cattail heads that turned light brown. Total rip off

j’attendais avant de poster mon commentaire parce que j’espérais toujours avoir une herbe de pampa mauve mais il est sorti une herbe verte étrange qui ne ressemble en rien à une herbe de pampa et surtout pas mauve. Je ne recommande pas du tout ceci ressemble à de l’arnaque
