Lovely wall art lights. Love these little lights i like that they work on 'AA' batteries. I will rarely turn them on. There are different color setting. Very prety. One remote works with both.i use these above photos.

There are a bunch of listing with near identical looking devices, but I chose this one because it had RGB lighting options in addition to the usual white color temps. But unfortunately if you want color, you're limited to only red, only blue, only green, or an animated fading mode. If you want purple light, you can't just set it to purple like so many other RGB lights. The included remote control is kind of limited whereas many products include an array of color buttons. That said, I decided to keep these and installed on the side walls of my home theater with the intent to use them to gently illuminate some collectibles on shelves along the side of the movie screen. The lamps are directional, but the focal length or size of the spotlight is not. So if you want a tighter spot, the device must be closer, or a larger area of illumination the device must be further back. The edge of the spotlight is not sharp, but more diffuse so it creates gentle illumination which I like, but in this case it kind of overflows more than I wanted. (I also bought another light for this purpose which was super tight and sharp, but extremely bright and also not adjustable besides physically relocating the source.)The brightness can be adjusted several steps, and for my purposes, I use it on the lowest setting and it provides just enough illumination to see the collectibles while not overly disrupting the projection. At the highest setting, it's almost too bright, but I could see that coming in really handy if you are using this to illuminate a picture frame or large piece of wall art. That's the main reason I decided to keep these, because I may end up relocating and using them for other areas when I find a more suitable solution for the home theater. These require three AA batteries, and so far I've had these for a few months now and haven't had to change batteries. Unless you're running them all day every day, I imagine the batteries will last a very long time. One thing that was a big negative, though I found a work-around -- when you install the batteries, the case has to twist to close on them and the way the case is designed, when you attach it to the wall mount, it shorts out/grounds the batteries to the screw that holds it to the wall and the light shuts off! So it works great, then you close it up and twist it onto the wall mount and it stops working. The work-around was having to carefully place it where it just barely hooks onto the mount. The better option is to add a little piece of electrical tape over the exposed screws in the wall mount bracket after it's installed on the wall. It really is a design flaw, but not enough for me to return them.Whether this works for your particular uses, it really depends on what it is you're lighting up, the room's ambient brightness, and distance from where you plan to mount it to what you want to light up.

Didn't expect to get this much light from them - I used them in a haunted attraction - worked out great. easy to install, the changeability of the colors by remote was perfect and it lit up the objects or specific scenery better than expected.

This light had all the bells and whistles. It was battery operated, remote control, dimmable, and easy to hang. It also allowed my to adjust the direction of the spot. Most picture lights that I wanted were hundreds of dollars .I wanted a light that was tiny so my picture would be the focus not a huge light above it. I also did not want to see a cord going down the wall! WoW ! I love this light . They designed this so well.

I bought these lights to pair with a disco ball on our covered deck. I wanted color changing lights that were easy to mount and did not need extra wiring, and found these lights to do the trick. I used my lights in tandem, and fortunately one remote controls both lights so I don't need to remember which remote works with which light (more on that later).Pros - lightweight, easy to install, work off AA batteries (I use rechargeable batteries to save $), one remote can control both lights (it comes with 2 remotes), rotatable heads so you can get an accurate focus of the light based on the intended useCons - unless I'm missing something, the remotes only allow for 4 solid (non-changing) color choices (red, blue, green, white) but there's a feature on the remote that starts a 16-color changing mode ... from what I can tell, there's no way to set the lights to stay on one of those other 12 colors (only the main 4 I mentioned can be set as a solid color). Also, even though the remote controls both lights, the color changing mode is not synced on both lights - one light changes faster than the other. That's not a big deal for my usage because we set them on solid colors on either side of the mirror ball, but if these lights are purchased for some purpose that requires the color changing mode to be synced then that's a problem.A final note on the remote - it does not operate like a tv remote where you can point it wherever you want and the device responds. I have to point the remote *directly* at the light, and be within 4-5 feet. This actually works better for our usage because that allows me to set each light at a different color even though they're only about 5 feet apart (so changing one light color won't effect the other). I did test them closer together and if they're side-by-side they'll both work in unison off one remote.Overall we are pleased, but I did knock off a star because of the color setting limitations.
