It is perfect for daily notes in the field, hold multiple pens and note book and protects from elements. Unfortunately the zipper only lasts about 6 months.. it won’t close now, they need to improve on that… looking for different options that will last longer than that for 80$ bucks!

The design of this product is simple and elegant! No frills, just a compact, durable, well thought out design. It accommodates the included notebook and several pens or pencils and my field protractor. Keeps everything organized neatly and safely in one convent package. I am a veteran and love hiking and camping and this by all means is one of the best products made for any outdoor activist. The notebook its self is sturdy never rips stays intact, the pen works amazing and best of all i like that the cover is also water proof and allows you to store things inside of it. I use it a lot when I travel and write down gps coordinates and off grid areas that I have traveled to and allows u to least keep a map inside folded .

Comes with a Write-In-The-Rain Pen. The cover is very durable. The pages are thick. It does write in the rain! I tested it in a rain storm and it writes great! Worth the money when you are keeping score at a soccer game or fishing!

If you ever find yourself needing to write things down in any form of a wet environment, this notepad is amazing. I use it for both hunting, as well as while doing wetland surveys. I can’t count the amount of times I have splashed water directly on this notepad while trudging through waste deep water and yet, to this day there is still not a single page with any sign of being waterlogged.I have noticed that if there is sitting water on the page, the pen doesn’t want to write all that well on it, but I only even found that out because I was curious and wanted to test its limits. For normal usage, this notebook should be in every outdoorsman’s (or outdoorswoman’s) travel bag!
