ESD wrist strap is consist of elastic band, movable buckle, spring cable, protective resistor, plug and alligator clip. The inner layer of the elastic belt is woven with anti-static yarn, and the outer layer is woven with ordinary yarn.
Usage: Discharge the accumulated electrostatic charge of the human body, effectively protect zero resistance parts.
Principle: Conduct the electrostatic of human body to the earth through the wrist band and grounding wire. When using the wrist band in contact with skin, and ensure that the grounding wire is directly grounded, so as to maximize the effectiveness. With this anti-static wrist band, can safely remove the static electricity generated in the human body within 0.1 seconds. It is the basic and widely used anti-static equipment.

If you are working with electronics, this is a must have gadget to ensure that you will not 'fry' a component with static electricity. My only gripe about this one is that the coiled section is not too easily stretchy. Consequently, if the grounded end is not fixed into something that is well anchored, and if you have it plugged into an extension of some sort, you could be moving that object around. It also tugs at your wrist which I found irritating.
