This kit came with everything needed to install a new stereo in my 2003 VW Jetta TDI. Removing the old stock unit was made easy using the tools supplied. The adapter harness connected seamlessly to the cars harness and the frame to hold the new stereo fit perfectly. Best part is that it came all in a kit and I didn’t have to source everything separately.I will note that with this year and model of car, I had to run a separate ignition power wire to the new stereo otherwise the stereo would have constant power and would need to be manually turned on/off every time the car was started.

Kit worked great. Fit my double din near perfect. Fit in the dash super easy and is solid. Causes the top cup holder to not work. But can be fixed by trimming the cup holder flap down like 1/16 of an inch so it clears. The wiring harness worked great and everything lined up. For 2002 Jetta the power wire doesn’t work so just bypass it and tap into wiper fuse so u have power with the turn of the key.

It’s a few millimeters too big but you can jam it in there, interferes slightly with the cup holders sometimes.

A direct fit for VW Mk4's. This 1 doesn't squeak an fits directly in. I gave 4 stars because I have to be honest, an yes the mounting screw heads r not flat which is beyond stupid. Which means if u do not have extra flat head mounting screws, it 100% will not fit. I had some extra ones, used them an it fitted perfectly

Removal tool is worthless. Notches in.. slight bend to catch the clip.. should be a quick thing.. messed around for about 30 minutes and gave up.. ordering a real set. If this is the reason you buy the kit.. don’t. Buy or borrow the real tool to remove. Ordered better ones. I don’t care how the rest of the install goes and how the other components work.. this alone is frustrating enough. I will update with the other problems I expect to encounter after the new tools arrives to remove the radio.All installed and updated to 3 stars. The rest of kit went well. As expected.. I had to trim the insert and I used heat-shrink for the connections.FOR MY CAR - I had to run the Red power wire of my head unit under the dash to on/off wire or the radio won’t I’m turn off with the key. VAGCOM has the red factory wire as a constant. Check VWVortex, Google or wherever first!! I used post #75 by the relays and bought a inline fuse to add inline.2005 Passat

Great product, wiring harness wasn't for my VW Golf 2003 as stated it didn't fit but the stereo mount worked fine.

The tool to pull out the stereo are a little difficult to make work but it gets the job done. The fit was a bit tight but it worked well.

Likes: It had all of the parts and adapters that I needed which should have made the radio easy to install. The electrical parts were easy to install.Dislike: This was bought to fit my Passat and the sleeve was slightly too small for my new radio so I couldn't use it. Also the frame interfered with the volume knob. I suspect that the new radio was slightly wider than it should have been.
