The connection of the front piece that goes around the deck kept separating from the mounting side pieces. The connection pieces were very flimsy. I got it to work through much hassle. Had to reconnect the pieces several times.

Nothing that I dislike about this everything is great. Awesome fit for a Atoto F7 7 inch double din. Would be good with other 1st gen Mazda 3s.

Package was already open inside shipping bag. Was supposed to be three pieces only received two. Received front faceplate and right side installation plate. Left side was missing.

This requires heavy modifications if you plan to use a system that needs to mount in front of it, for example, any screen that is outside the double din. This acts as a bezel for the system you put in and therefore the system is mounted from the back instead of front.

No idea why Amazon says this won't fit on the 2007 mazda 3 but it fit like a charm no gaps and as far as I can tell the quality looks great albeit not the same as the actual interior plastic but it definitely doesn't stand out.

Texture didn’t perfectly match my car which is a Mazda 3 2007 sedan i touring but it fit almost perfect. I made a few adjustments only because I also bought a touchscreen system and it was a tiny bit wider than the double din, so make sure you look at the height & width of both the system & the double din. I do enjoy it though!

I bought this for my 2008 mazda 3 gt hatch 2.3l and it fits perfectly. I bought it because I had purchased an aftermarket stereo so I needed to buy this so it would fit. The only reason i give it a 4 star is because i had to make a few modifications for it to fit my stereo but overall all its good quality and easy to install

So I've purchased a Metra dash kit for my first radio "cause it was a little cheaper" and It was horrible! Hard to get together, didn't fit flush, felt cheap, etc... But this Scosche dash kit is amazing. It's so easy to setup, fits right in. It looks and feels like so much more quality than my other kit. Fits super tight and flush!!

Fitted in my '05 Mazda 3 GT Hatch as expected. No problems. It is obviously plastic and not as high quality as OEM materials, as well as fit and finish, but other than that it does the job.

So i bought this to replace the single-DIN Scosche kit that I had bought previously and I like it much better. I hooked up my single-DIN radio with a pocket over it and there was no gap in between. The left and right sides actually look like they won't hold very well, but after you screw your radio on there and hook them up, they're surprisingly steady. I had to cut the top portion off where the LCD screen is since it's still operational after taking the OEM radio out in the 2007 Mazda 3. You have to find a way to make it stand there without the OEM bracket holding it, but that's optional.It also fits pretty good and i like the overall look and texture of it. I would recommend it over the single-DIN unit if you have your own pocket to install since the one from the single is pretty lame and small. Plus, it gives you the possibility of installing a double-DIN radio later on.
