Your cart is empty. Constructed by zinc die-cast extruded aluminum, these Shop Square Sliding Window and Door Locks feature dual thumb screws that provide a tool-free way to securely lock down a vertical or horizontal sliding window, even in a venting position.
Easy to install and use, place the lock on one of the sliding doors tracks; the outer track is usually the easiest, and use the twin screw-locks to create a tight grip, effectively locking the window or door in the exact position you would like it in.

Shop Square Window Locks work with tracks up to 3/16 inches wide when using the protective rubber insert or up to 3/8 inches without the insert. For added security, try using a lock on both the top and bottom tracks for a horizontal frame or the right and left sides when locking a vertical window frame.
Windows locks are beneficial when securing a window fan or AC unit or opening the window "just a crack" for ventilation. The reason for this is that you can effectively lock the window in the precise position that prevents the window from opening any further, securing both your home and the ac unit.
Please note: As a rule, window screw locks are designed to work with sturdy metal frames. Using them on thin edges, such as a delicate vinyl track, may damage the structure or allow the window to slide with pressure.

it gives me a nice feeling knowing burglars can easily pry my sliding doors to get into the house. Not an end all be all product but does give me some comfort that a little effort is needed to get into my house.

Bought these because my grandson is autistic and he opens windows trying to get outside. My daughter put them up and set them so he can open the window but not wide enough for him to get out. He has no sense of danger so it's a must to keep him safe.

I like to open my son’s window in the spring and fall when the weather is cool enough, however I don’t want him to have the ability to open the window all the way. These allow you to set how far open you want the window. I installed them but opening the window where I was comfortable with it, then I placed these and screwed them on super tight. They are great quality and are pretty heavy duty. I also have peace of mind knowing nobody else from outside the window can open it any farther.

I purchased the single screw in locks. The space needed to fit snuggly on my window didn't match the space of the lock. I was still able to screw in the lock and the window did not budge at all. The black buffer wasn't necessary for me and most of them fell out and were lost before I was able to screw the lock to the window. I would purchase this type of lock again and with larger windows I would recommend the style with two bolts for extra security.
