Stop wasting money by throwing away your filter pouches. By covering your existing filter pouch with this filter (not the paper bag), you can significantly extend its lifespan. Once fully covered by dust, just tap or shake it slightly. Can be washed and reused almost indefinitely.

The bottom seam tore open When I was putting it on my filter! When I contacted the seller they wanted all of my personal information all I was prepared to give was my name address and Amazon order number. Afterwards I received an email telling me they were happy I contacted them so they could help me. That was the last I heard from them, no replacement and no refund !

Seems to be slightly smaller than advertised. Was good tight fit, perhaps too tight as it ripped along the seam putting it on. It does not seem very durable. My filter measure 6.75" diameter and 7.75" tall. Even if m filter was slightly smaller, not sure it would hold up very long. I would not recommend this product.

This does not easily fit over a shop vac filter. Quite tight, but possible. I like using both to maximize dust capture. Well made though and it gives the main filter a longer life.

It is a great prefilter but, it fit too tight on my Craftsman filter making installation & removal difficult. Perfect for someone with a smaller filter.

I ruined a paper filter using my Shop Vac (the small hang up type) when sanding drywall compound, so I got this. I only did one small drywall patch since so I can't tell how well it handles that fine dust, but I have my Shop Vac attached to my miter saw. After a while, I noticed the suction was severely reduced. The Shop Vac was about 1/4 full of sawdust. I emptied the canister and shook out the filter. Suction was much improved. I don't want to clean this that often, so I might go back to paper and only use this one for drywall.I became concerned about reduced suction and the strain on my Shop Vac motor since this filter seems to be finer than the paper (based on the fact that it clogged with miter saw sawdust). After cleaning this filter I compared the suction to a new paper filter by having the Vac pick up a smooth weight. The suction with this filter was less because it couldn't quite pick up the weight, but not by much. I don't know how much of a strain this would be on the motor, but want to mention it.

I give this a 5 star review, even though it doesn't really fit my Craftsman 16 gallon filter (9-17912). It will fit, but I ended up ripping a stitch getting it on. This was my fault, not the products, hence the 5 stars. Works great, saves filters, and sure it is perfect for a non-Craftsman 16 gallon vac.

I bought this cloth filter to get away from using vacuum bags for my small ShopVac. The bags are small, don't hold much and can be expensive if the vacuum is used a lot. I use mine to suck up wood sawdust around my power tools and it doesn't take much time to fill a bag and then have to replace it. I found this filter on Amazon and ordered it in hopes that it would resolve my bag issue and it does a great job. It was a simple install and continues to function perfectly for my use. I found that taking the filter out occasionally and use an air pressure hose to blow it out, helps keep it functioning at a 100%.I like this filter and it works great. Do realize that it will some very fine particulate to pass through the vacuum. Ultra fine dust will pass through the filter bag, but has a good chance to getting captured in the foam filter that came with the vacuum. I would not recommend using it for dry wall dust....Good product for the price...
