I installed this a few days ago to power my Skar amp & sub. The wire is definitely OFC (it’s tinned so it looks silver) but it’s not 8 gauge like advertised. It’s closer to 10 gauge so I’m docking you one star because of that. It works good I almost didn’t have enough length for the power wire but it was fine. If I was more picky I would return it and buy a 4 gauge kit from Skar so it would be closer to real 8 gauge. I needed to buy a different amperage fuse for my amp (50A). A future suggestion for Skar is include the fuse sizes for all of your amps that are compatible with this gauge of wire.

This is a great, high quality wiring kit for amps 400W and less. I used this kit to wire my Skar 350W mono block amp to an enclosed 6.5" Skar evl sub in a loaded enclosure. If you have common sense, problem solving skills and are capable of critical thinking, you can easily use the picture diagram on the back of the box to properly wire a sub yourself. Very easy to install, with great appearance and delivers excellent sound quality.

I’ve used skar wiring kits in the past and they seem to be good quality for the price. Perfect length for a midsize SUV. No issues during install, comes with extras connectors and zip ties if needed.Wiring can be a pain to crimp into some amps, especially speaker wire into skar amplifiers, I recommend using wire ferrules and heat shrink. Use heat shrink to hold a ferrule on the wire, then crimp it to the wire using the screw on the amplifier terminal. Works perfectly and keeps the install clean. Plus it makes things much simpler in the future if you have to relocate or replace an amplifier.

Good product with warranty. Has everything you need to get an amp put in. I had plenty of space for a single cab 2500 pickup truck and then moved it to an suv and back lol.
