Worked great for a project that I was working on, installing windows in an RV - that required snap ring pliers to change out some hinges that open and close. My sold set of snap ring pliers broke a couple weeks ago, and these are an upgrade for my old ones, better design, a little larger to make opening rings easier, and just an overall better design, that looks like it will be more durable over the long run - very nice quality!

They are longer handled giving good leverage. Operation can be done with one hand and there is a positive lock holding the lock ring open making it easier for removal and install. It's also a one handed operation to unlock. The tips are removable...I'm assuming so you can install an angle variation. They function as they should and build quality is what I'd consider standard grade. The rubber covers on the handles are just slip fit and I'd like to see those held more securely in place, but that's my only complaint on these.

The ratcheting lock mechanism allows me to adjust the ring size with ease, securing it in place without the need for continuous handle pressure, and allows for one-hand operation in tight spaces. The thickness of the metal used in the construction of the snap ring pliers makes them structurally strong and not prone to bending. I do like that these are made in the USA. The value of the tool far outweighs the price and the functionality of the tool is enhanced by the versatility of the tool.

These large snap ring pliers work as advertised. They saved my bacon in some recent axle hub and wheel bearing repairs. However, if you are going to use these all of the time, I would probably look elsewhere. The rivets in these are very thin and the teeth of the ratcheting mechanism are barely there, soooooo.... there's that.That said, if you are a weekend warrior mechanic like me, they will probably be just fine for you.I hope you found this review helpful.

This snap ring pliers functionality is a tool that is specialized to use on the truck. I'm impressed with how it can make the job of changing snap rings easier by some of the design and features it offers. The Ratchet lock design holds the snap ring open so it doesn't slide. The handles with the rubber grips make sure you can have a strong hold of the tool so it doesn't slip and doesn't fatigue your hand when applying pressure. The tips on the tool are long and offer an additional reach so you know you have a good hold of the snap ring. The tool is durable and appears to be exactly what is needed for our truck.
