I bought one of these after a German woman living in my state noted most Germans use these in lieu of a measuring tapes for shorter measuring (say six ft. Or less). It is high quality and spot-on accurate using various Starrett, Woodpeckers and FastCap measuring devices. I highly recommend.

Every joint on the ruler loses accuracy, either gaining or losing up to 1/16" inconsistently, compared to several known accurate rulers.

It took some getting used to but this great folding ruler is ace for shorter measurements. More accurate than a tape measure and easier to use when laying out back boxes or measuring for fixings. And the price under £4 was an absolute steal!

This is a great ruler for measuring both English and metric. Also make conversation simple with the English on one side and the metric on the other side of the same side.

Never owned a folding rule before coming across this Stabila 2m item. A lot of text books, refer to them as dated or rarely being used anymore. However this is a treat to go to for quick measurements and for additional calculations the folding mechanism is smooth and allows for shorter measurements. Recommended for any toolkit.
