I got this yesterday and only have on session in, so I can't really rate this on longevity, but so far, so good! It's much sturdier than expected given the cheap price. You do get what you paid for, do not expect anything gym quality, but it does the trick for me. It doesn't take much space, it doesn't make any sound, it took a couple of hours to assemble by myself. I'm used to assembling and doing things on my own, so that helped, as well as one particular review I have read about that particular step in the assembly which was supposed to be a pain. Here is the tip (it really should be mentioned in the instructions), maybe it could help you too! It was not the easiest step (hooking the tension cable), but if you loosen the bolt and the C-shaped clamp, it helps a lot! You just have to retighten them after. It's not hard in a sense that it doesn't take strength, but it's a bit tricky.

Assembling was fine until I came to the highlighted parts of the instructions, there was many explanations and pictures but I just couldn’t understand and after a while I ended up trying things and I figured it out but oh man! It’s a workout to assemble lol. I like that it’s silent, everything works fine and it’s small. Happy customer

Very happy with this elliptical - it's whisper quiet and takes up very little room. The stride length is perfect for me (5' 5") and my husband (5'9") and I don't have numb toes that sometimes happen on ellipticals when the petal is angled. We use it daily and have been very happy with the stability and quietness. When I assembled it I added extra white grease to the main pivot points, and plan to grease these again about every 3 months. I'd suggest keeping the tool kit handy for the first week to check the tightness of any nuts.Yep, the tension arm was tricky - there is a nut that I point to in this diagram that may need to be threaded down further on the lower piece in order to be able to clip in the tension wire.Update - now almost 6 months old and put on over 1800 miles - works great! I use it daily (50 min, about 11 miles) and it's so quiet and smooth.

The item is very hard to put together, you have to meticulously put all items together gently and be careful not to hurt yourself. It is very compact for a small space and looks nice unfortunately it breaks down after 2 weeks of occasional use. I am very surprised by how quickly the item breaks down. I bought it and was unable to put it together right away, after putting it together which took 4 hours; I use it on the weekends and to my surprise, it only lasted 2 weeks before the elliptical started making a very loud squeaky noise that is difficult to ignore as my neighbours can hear it outside in the hallway. Amazon is unable to help because the item passed the 30 days return window (5 days over). If one wants to spend $166 for just two weeks then it's a deal other than that IT IS ABSOLUTELY WASTE OF MONEY. I'll say charity might be a better option than this. I am going to follow up with the manufacturer and I'll update my review based on their response but reading other reviewers it seems it'll be just another waste of time. Amazon is not a place to buy items like this even for a 10+ years prime member. I'll never buy anything that can potentially malfunction after a few uses from Amazon again. You are better off dealing with a company that has a longer return window and the ability to deal directly with them instead of a 3rd party like Amazon.Update: I contacted the manufacturer as instructed by Amazon. Per the manufacturer, the 45 days warranty doesn't cover Canadian residents. The manufacturer suggested I call Amazon back and escalate my call. I did just that and I was able to get a refund of my money. Amazon suggested they'll remove the manufacturer from their platform. I hope they do just that.

Delivery by Amazon was faster than I expected. Took just 4 days. I just finished assembling the elliptical trainer. Assembly wasn't too bad. Directions could have been more clear and diagrams and diagram label text could have been larger (I found it difficult to read the small print). Assembly also would have gone much faster had the preassembled monitor wire been put through the bottom handlebar tube in the correct direction in the first place. The monitor wire was in the wrong way so when I went to attach the 2 wires, I noticed there were two male ends. I pulled the wire out, reversed it and ran it through the tube. Assembly went smoothly after that.I'm not sure if I have the tension cable attached correctly. I thought so, although I barely notice any difference between 1 and 8. I may take it apart and check. I took it for for a twenty minute test spin. Pretty smooth glide. Smooth swing-arm. Whisper quiet. Can barely hear it. Heart rate seems bang on. I'll update this review after using it for a few weeks. Seems like good value for the money paid. I'm giving a 4 star review based on first impressions. I wish I could give 4.5. Rating a 5 would mean it's perfect for the money. I'm not sure of that yet.UPDATE July 4, 2022: I've been using the elliptical at least 4 days/week, often 5, since I purchased it. I'm on it for 30-50 minutes at a time and it is fairly smooth and quiet. I do hear a little noise from the foot rests now and again which can probably be resolved by tightening bolts if I get around to it.The heart rate monitor is okay, but readings do jump around and it doesn't settle on one rate. If you watch for the highest reading (which could take 30 seconds) it is quite accurate (tested with my fitness watch).See photos of steps to remove swing arms and re-attach the tensioner cable. I had assembled the tensioner incorrectly (easy to get this wrong). I finally took it apart and re-attached the cable properly. I took the opportunity to grease the swing arms and tighten the foot rests when I did (which should be done every 6 months). The machine is quiet again. I hope it saves someone time. I put it off fixing the tensioner for 6 months because of the hassle. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.I'm not adjusting the 4-star rating regardless of the heart rate reading jumping around. At this price, this elliptical is the best investment I've ever made in home fitness equipment regardless of the quirks. PS: I've lost 22 lbs in 6 months using this elliptical.
