I have this thermostat controlling a Peltier cooling module. It's very accurate and there are several parameters that can be adjusted to suit many applications. I wish the temperature probe wire was a bit longer (hence the 4 stars) but that's not a deal breaker for me. Otherwise it's fine. Display is bright and easy to read. Would purchase again if I needed another 12V thermostat.

So you know the codes to the parameter settings should you want to deviate from the factory presets.

Perfect timing for our Canadian winter. Butter on the kitchen counter gets annoyingly hard to spread when the temperature fluctuates from normal to cool. This DIY setup maintains perfect consistency at all times. I set it to within half a degree. A simple night light (must be incandescent) does the trick. You can also use a regular light fixture with a very low wattage 7.5-watt bulb. The heat from the bulb maintains a constant temperature inside the enclosure. The butter dish hardly feels warmer than normal, but it's just enough to to keep the butter perfect. I was originally looking for a sort of steel box but found a bamboo one found at the Dollarama. For the perforated partition I used a piece of aluminum as used for capping in house renovations. It worked great by clamping the tin aluminum sheet between two boards and drilling through it all then sanding the rough parts. We settled our prefered temperature peak at 23 degrees Celsius. That's 73.4 Fahrenheit for our American neighbors. And we adjusted the low temperature to 22.5 C (72.5 F). Note that the sensor probe is attached on the inside wall and apx halfway up the butter compartment. I was intending to add a little door to the unit but since I installed it in the cupboard, the cupboard door automatically works as a door. I hid all my wiring through the cupboards and away from view. The instructions were a bit difficult to understand but I did find great ones online.

I like the product. The output is simply a relay switch, not internal powered. Works well and can be tweaked for accuracy. The temperature pickup probe is not very long requiring the thermostat to be mounted close to the area the temperature will be monitored. Overall a good working device. The instructions are not in the best English, with a little experimenting can figure out how to use it. I used it with a second external relay to power a heater. So when the relay switch closes or opens it allows the second relay to open or close, which I figure can give it some longevity as I don't have to put the bulk of the device current through it.

Upon receiving this controller I had my reservations as it was so tiny compared to others I have used with similar capabilities. It has been effortlessly working for over a month now. Its predecessor was twice it's size and would heat up eventually burning itself out. This one functions perfectly without even the slightest hint of warmth.

Had a defective unit that I had to return. Because programming instructions are so poor spent hours trying to program the darn thing before I discovered the problem. The instructions are on a tiny piece of paper in several languages that I had to magnify to even read and there is no overall explanation of what each function is or does, whether to pulse or keep pressed certain keys, etc etc . Normally I am up to a challenge but this was ridiculous.
