This little DAC and amplifier sounds fantastic, even for £400 I'd be happy with the performance but at £150 it's fantastic value. It's as good as anything I've heard at much higher prices, up to £400 or more.I bought it to use at work, connected to my MacBook pro by USB. I've got several headphones to use when working and this device drove them all exceptionally well, even my Sennheiser HD650. Music sounds very neutral, nothing is pushed forward, the bass is reasonably warm and deep and the whole feel is reasonably relaxed. For example, some Joni Mitchell songs can make cheap equipment sound a little bit shrill or coarse, but this Topping DX3 pro+ works really well, even the song My Old Man is rendered well. The song He Needs Me by Nina Simone has beautifully soft and rich vocals which come through so well, really lovely to listen to. I found myself pausing work to listen to Star 6 & 7 8 9 by The Orb, the birdsong and gentle synth punctuated by the very deep bass made me smile.This is a great little amp, I'm very pleased with it and would highly recommend it at just £149.

seller sent me the same broken item back twice to my place and now i cant get a refund, doesnt have any audio coming from left ear, tried multiple headphones, do not buy this item

Excelente equipo el Topping DX3 PRO+ por su precio. Lo compré a precio rebajado con caja abierta, solo por un pequeño golpe en la caja. El equipo es nuevo y perfectamente funcionante, facil de usar y con muchas funciones. El unico problema que tiene es que me entró en bloqueo con el codigo de error HD Err, al desconectarlo de la fuente de poder, volvió a funcionar al 100. Investigando en internet descubro que es un problema con frequencias inferiores a los 20Hz que lo mandan en modo de protección. Lo probé con 1 audifono dinamico (Shure SRH1440), 1 magnetoplanar (Monolith m1060) y 1 auricular a caja balanceada (Shure Aonic 3) y muy bien con los 3. El servicio muy bueno se anticipó de 1 dia en la entrega

Stopped working, at all, after firmware update 5 minutes after opening box. Stuck in dfu mode, won’t switch inputs, won’t reset. Returning for a refund!

Sound is really good to me.I really like the look and slim design.Few less positive things:- Navigating in the menu/settings is old fashion and cryptic because lcd is very basic- I couldn't find from the menu how to disable bluetooth to use less power because it's a bit warm. I tried to do what they mention in the manual and I entered the DFU mode which I think is to reprogram the unit :(- I would have preferred a 6.35 jack- Could use a pixel matrix lcd screen to have better readibilityThose negative things said, it's a device to play music, not to have fancy menu/display.Worked out of the box with Ubuntu 22.04. Pulse audio configured to play at 96KhzHappy so far of this buy.

Sounds great for music until it hits me with a ERR on the screen and I have to hard power it off.. I google searched the issue and went through steps to Firmware Update after a few hours of attempting to go through documentation to update it I figured out how and updated it to the latest firmware which did nothing. I then reverted back to the update prior which in the notes said it fixed the error. The problem still persists within some video games and songs, but at least it is less frequent. Some sources say that I can EQ to fix this issue... but realistically I shouldn't have to. Fairly disappointed in this glaring issue, but I probably get what I paid for since this is probably one of the cheapest options for the quality you get.Update: I continued to have issues got sick of it and bought a Schiit Magnius Amp to connect to it and just use it as a DAC. Maybe others have had better luck just listening to music, but I also game and having my sound cut out and have to completely unplug the device to hear again is pretty unfortunate.
