Checked the SWR and it was right on the money. This is a very nice 2m/440 NMO antenna that is only about 20 inches long. I can bring up a repeater that is about 30 miles away no problem.

Attached to my Jeep using a fender mount that was designed for a tight clean installation - looks great! SWR was amazingly low without any tuning for 2m and 70cm, too. Started put with the whip bottomed out and checked the SWR and it was no higher than 1.5:1 on 70cm and 1.2:1 on 2m. Broadband response, too. Checked with DMR repeaters 20 miles out and worked excellent with my radio. Highly recommend!

I used a Larsen 270 antenna for nearly a decade. It worked very well, but lately started giving a bad SWR reading. I found this replacement and so far I’m very happy. It is made very well and radiates well enough to get into the repeaters around LA. I like the fact that the whip is shorter and stiffer than the 270, therefore less likely to hit when going through a parking garage or loosen on very rough road.

Durable compact 2 meter and 3/4 cm bands antenna. I needed something that would mount on the roof edge of my SUV rear hatch and still clear the garage door. My old antenna was a center loaded dual band that was 5/8 wave on 2m and colinear at 446. This antenna seems to be 1/4 wave on 2m and 5/8 wave on 446 MHz. SWR is very reasonable on both bands. Not as good gain as the old antenna but acceptable for working repeaters.
