for me, this elliptical machine under my desk has proven beneficial. Am awaiting a hip replacement in 9 months and doing pre-hab to lessen the pain on that side. This is just the exercise that with see me through my waiting game for surgery, am so far very thankful and seen it helps. I will also have to continue with this afterwards.

I like that it has a sturdy base which does not move around during use.I don't like that the power button is around the back as that makes it hard to reach when it is under the table.I don't like that the change in direction button seems to take so long to kick in after being pressed. Even at the lowest level 1 speed, sometimes I think the machine didn't properly read the change in direction button press. Perhaps I need to be more patient.The remote works well so that I don't have bend/go under the table to make speed adjustments.Overall, I find that it isn't for exercise but more for rehabilitation as it is good for getting the lower body to move with no effort and no impact.Even on level 1, which gives the lowest level of assistance, I can sit passively and have my lower body move and follow the elliptical pattern.On the highest level 12, it moves a lot faster but again no effort needs to be applied as I can just sit and have the machine move my lower body.

Ordered this HOMGIM Elliptical Machine, Electric Pedal Exerciser, Leg Exerciser with Remote Control for a family member that recently had ankle surgery and needed to do some at home rehab.This machine is perfect for rehab exercise after an injury or surgery. There are manual or automatic modes. The automatic mode is extremely useful for someone who wants just gentle movement while rehabing. The automatic mode is also great for seniors who may have limited mobility and strength and want to ensure that their legs get movement while possibly confined to a wheelchair. Another great feature is a remote control which allows the user to control the machine without having to bend over and reach for the buttons on the machine. The pedals can also set to move forward and backwards which helps target different groups of muscles.Overall, this machine is very well made. Its extremely versatile and is perfect for after surgery rehab and for seniors who want gentle non-impact exercise.
