There's a lot to like about this unit. It comes fully assembled, is fairly intuitive, has a good display and is pretty well constructed. The instructions were no worse than most English-translated Chinese-produced electronics. There are some less than likable attributes, however. Of the two "modes", only the resistance mode will actually give you any exercise. The self-powered mode is useful only for those who have range of motion issues that can be addressed passively. The resistance mode works well up to about level 4 (out of 10). My experience at level 5 and above was of inconsistent resistance throughout each individual cycle, almost as if a belt was slipping, making it quite difficult to get into an even cycling rhythm. I also found the foot straps were too tight for my shoes (size 13 narrow) and that using it in stocking feet (so they'd fit under the straps) to be uncomfortable because of the large texture bumps on the foot bed. You can certainly remove the straps to address those issues when using the self-powered mode, but you'll lose the ability to generate any thrust on the up stroke in resistance mode, which will render the exercise less effective than it could be. Those who've ridden a bike with toe straps will understand what I mean.Overall, not a bad piece of equipment, but not worthy of five stars.

Under Desk Elliptical Training Machines: Pedal Exerciser Electric 2 in 1 Auto or Manual with 12 Adjustable Speeds Portable Under Desk Bike Leg Exerciser for Seniors While Sitting with Remote ControlI ordered this for my grandmother who is 98. She stopped walking about two years ago, and is really losing strength in her legs. Since she has to sit all the time now, I got this for her so she can start building strength again. She really likes it, and I hope maybe it’ll help her walk again. Since she has a hard time bending over, an attendant at Morningstar has to help get her started, but after that she’s great on it!

I got this for my mother, who can't easily walk long distances but needs physical therapy. There was no setup; plug it in and use it. It is easy to move around and not too heavy. That said, it looks to be well-made and durable. She uses it without the foot straps, as it is difficult for her to maneuver her feet in and out of them. The footbed is large enough that she is able to place her foot on it, yet her foot doesn't slide around. She effortlessly used this for ten minutes without complaining. The remote is easy to use. However, you can also just touch the controls on the screen itself. The numbers were large enough that my mom could see how much time was left. This allows her to exercise without any pain or pressure.I also tried out the elliptical. I found it to be easy to use, both with and without the straps. My legs were not tired after 15 minutes of use. I also found that the pedals could be used without the electrical hookup if you don't want to control speed or time. This is a very useful and easy way to exercise and promote circulation. I highly recommend it.

Since I work from home and my standing desk doesn't raise anymore I thought this would be nice to have. I love that it comes assembled. Pulled it out, plugged it in, and it was ready to go. It's very sturdy and has a good weight to it. It has two modes - where you manually operate it and one where it moves itself. I'm not really sure what the automated version is really for other than to just keep your legs moving while sitting. While using the manual mode it has different intensities. Neither mode is overly loud. I'm able to use it while on video calls. Very impressed with the quality and its nice easy way to add a little movement throughout the day.

This is an attractive looking piece of fitness equipment . It works right out of the box, no assembly required. I did have to remove a plastic tag protecting the battery in the remote , and plug the machine in, but that was all that was required. The machine is meant to be used in a sitting position only . It can be operated manually , without electricity , or with electrical power moving the pedals . Either way it is virtually silent and I appreciate that. The rotation is smooth and gentle and it does not irritate my sometimes-wonky knee . It is easy to make fine adjustments in the speed and to reverse the direction of the rotations.I initially ordered this as a kind of therapy for a family member who has been experiencing some numbness and weakness in his legs . He enjoys using the device and feels that it is helping him , his range of motion and circulatory problems.I tried it myself for the purposes of the review, and I find it very pleasant to use and I intend to go on using it.
