I connected 2 laptops to the switcher input and the output to a monitor. Only laptop works with the external monitor. When I pressed the switch button, the monitor has no signal. When I removed the laptop 1 which initially displayed in the monitor, then laptop 2 displayed. When I reconnect laptop 1 to the switcher and pressed the button, the monitor had no signal. The device failed.
