This is the third product I've ordered from Valhalla. Each product comes with a leather keychain, the name of the person who made it and in which country from Latin America. The leather is extremely thick and well treated. I shoot nearly everyday, and as expected with a quality leather product, it begins to fit better with use. It is good 'out-of-the-box', but the products fit better now than when I got them. You might consider treating the leather with a softener/water resistant oil to help that process along. I did so for the arm guard and finger sleeves, but not the this thumb ring.highly recommend.

Doesn't work at all. I tried to shoot several arrows and every single time this thumb protector came flying off my thumb and landed on the ground, regardless of how tight it was cinched.

Headline hits the main points. The reinforcement pad is large enough that the string is never past the inside edge of that pad. Mine is making a groove about a quarter inch from that inside edge, for example. Soft and comfy leather while being solid enough to offer good protection and good string release. Inexpensive and seems like good quality.
