Shop vac can be fully speed controlled from about 20V up to 110V. Even after prolonged use (1 hour or more) the unit does not get hot and the shop vac runs cooler also.

This thing "works" kinda, but I'm not impressed with it's range of control. It's more of an on/off switch than a variable speed control. The voltage drops very quickly and your motor will just sit there and growl. It has some functionality but nothing like the BS marketing CRAPPOLA - take it all in, with a grain of salt.

Use this to slow down my belt sander, my rotary hand held tool and my angle grinder. So far it has worked like I wanted. The first time I used it on my belt sander it caused the sander to get very hot. I watch my time and voltage in order not to over heat the motor. I'm happy with it so far. Purchased 4/20/23. 19 months later. This is still working, has not caused any problems. I still used it for my belt sander and other tools. I use it on a weekly basis. Looking to buy another larger belt sander and checked to see if it could handle the amps, looks like it's a go, specs are to 15 amps. Just do not over tax it, watch the voltage and time used. Yes, if you are looking for a way to slow the speed of your equipment. I say go for it and use it with respect to it's limitations.
