Fit perfectly. My own mistake trying to use it with a 4 inch inline fan because that doesnt work but this product is good even though not designed for duct fitting. Ill havebto do something else in my diy project.

I bought this reducer to use in my RVs heating ducts. The 4” duct that I was replacing would not fit under the shower pan. Looks like the ductwork was installed before the shower and was crushed. These 2” reducers work great and the durability is great.

Not a lot you can say about an adapter. In my case, my Makita planer has an odd size dust output port, which is identical to the small side of this. So I was then stuck with a "male to male" connection problem.I tried using a rubber plumbing sleeve with hose clamps on both sides, but it was awkward and ineffective. So instead, I used... (wait for it)... Gorilla tape to make the connection. It is very strong, and holds even when I connect and disconnect the collection hose repeatedly. Call me kludgy if you like, but if you have a Makita planer you'll thank me for the application info!

Not as advertised.3-7/8"OD to 1-7/8"ODNOT 4" to 2"Very different than pipe reducers that fit to OD of pipe. This one restricts the 2" down to 1-5/8". Doesn't fit snug inside the pipe either, useless.

Well made and seems solid. The 4-inch end fits the hose of my dust collector and with a hose clamp is securely in place. The 2-inch end is actually 1 7/8 and I added 2 screws to hold the connection together. All other connections in my dust collection system work as friction-fit and are just pushed together. 2-inch should be the outside diameter of a 2-inch pipe system.
