Disappointed big time

Wanted to use this thing to let fumes escape through a walk in door but it won’t come apart to use it and the screws are way to short to use it as it’s meant to use anyway. Then we had a mail strike and I couldn’t even return it.

This valve is strong and well made for the price. My application was to be an air shut down for a diesel engine as recomended uy many forums. This peticular gate has no seal whatsoever and did not reduce air flow enough for engine shutdown. With this in mind it would seem that it is not very efficient for it's intended use as a vacume line shut off regulation valve.

I'm using both aluminum and plastic blastgates, and, while they both do the job, the aluminum gates are much smoother operating. I think that they're worth the additional cost.

Great product. Does make closeing off any 3" pvc pipe end possible. Quality very good. Would purchase more are needed.
