Does not work I’ve hooked it up exactly how the pictures and instructions say and it still doesn’t do anything it makes a noise like it activates and still have full power in my truck. I’m hoping it is just one faulty disconnect out of the batch and hopefully they resend another one for me to try out and that it works.

I've become very aware of the rise in car thefts and the low risk/high reward it offers to thieves specifically in Canada. This is an effective, inexpensive safety measure we can take to protect our vehicles. I've been lucky so far, but I know a couple of people who have had to deal with this and it's a huge ongoing mess for both of them.This kill switch is pretty straight forward to install and works like a charm. I recommend keeping a faraday cage in your car too for that added measure. We work too hard for our money just to have an asset like our vehicles to be stolen, stripped of parts and shipped off somewhere. I highly recommend this one!

I think this remote battery disconnect switch is innovative in design as I never thought about anti theft by disabling the battery. So I ordered it to give it a try. This can be quite useful to me as I park my car on driveway. My car is old but it is a luxury brand and so it may catch thief’s attention. Before ordering you should check whether there is room in your battery to install this device first. Specification: rating: rated voltage: 12V - 24V; rated current: 240A; standby current: 1mA; power-off threshold: 11.8V ± 0.2V; cranking rating: 1000A for 30 seconds; instantaneous Current: 500A. This automotive kill switch features an integrated LED voltage display that provides real-time battery status.The device is packaged in a plain box. When I open the box the first feeling is it is small. There are 2 keys provided. The keys seem to be good quality. It is just like a car key. Installation is quite straight forward. If you have some car maintenance experience such as replacing a battery you should be able to install this device. Installation should take only 5 minutes or so. And there are videos on the web page which you can view first before installation.However I have 2 questions about this device:1) Why there is an on and off button on the device. Can the thief opens the hood and deactivate this device easily by pushing of a button?2) It works up to -20C temperature. Even I live in a warmer province of Canada the temperature can drop below -20C in some days. And if it doesn’t work on those cold days will I have problem to start my car?So far the device seems to be working. I have a safe feeling that the thief won’t be able to steal my car on the driveway. But I need to test it longer to be sure. Also, I can’t find any warranty info on the web page and so I assume there isn’t any. I view warranty very important for any electronic device purchase.
