These cables are not copper. They are aluminum coated with copper. They look like they can handle hi current but I have not yet put them to the test.

I understand concerns about aluminum wiring. Copper has one electron and is heavy compared to aluminum with two electrons light weight and more flexible. Just need to size up by one. A tip I found was to clean and apply acid. I then heated the adapter and melted the lead inside filling it then inserting wire and hold a short time to cool.Hope this is useful.Good luck
