This is a great photo frame, at a good price point. It was easy to get set up and start using it quickly. The app makes adding photos super easy, and the display is bright and detailed.

The display itself is great. Shows the pictures clearly without distortion (unless the picture file is low). The only downside is the UI. If pictures are shared from multiple people, they would have to set up an account with the app. There is a "visitor" option but pictures from "visitors" will appear as such even if the visitor accounts have entered a custom name.

I purchased this for my boyfriend for Christmas and it was well received.I was stumped on gift ideas and thought Iโd order a couple of prints and frame them, but I couldnโt decide on which prints. I stumbled across this digital frame and thought โฆ why choose just a couple of photos? Use them all! ๐The colour on display is very nice, and there are different options for how to display the photos, how often they cycle through, how long the display stays on, etc. The option to have others load photos with a link is pretty neat, although I canโt speak to how it works as weโve not tried it yet.I absolutely love the clock standby feature. The only thing I wish I could do (and maybe I just havenโt figured out how) is to make the clock face bigger when on standby. Itโd be handy to have a full screen clock - but this is definitely not a deal breaker!Such a great gift. Easy to set up. Donโt hesitate!

My wife picked out this frame so we could easily upload photos to it using our phones and have regularly updated photos on display. Iโm impressed with how itโs been designed and presented, but I do have some concerns.Itโs fully wifi capable for remote uploading of photos through an app. It also has the ability to display photos and full motion videos with sound. It has a touch screen with a full on operating system, complete with menus to set up your wifi connection, change photo and display options, and other related settings. Internally has 32 GB of data storage with the option for external storage use via micro-USB card. The display is reasonably high quality, if maybe more dim than Iโd like. Video is fairly clear and has minimal ghosting. Itโs clearly not a high end display but itโs not a cheap crappy one either. Images looks nice and crisp and from across the room (which is how youโre likely to use this frame). Itโs a really solid touch screen as well, meaning that you can easily access all of its functions right on the device. The UI is really slick on this thing. The settings menu gives you a load of options for displaying picture, including a favorites option, the ability to hide photos, use captions, etc. Of course itโs all built around using with the Uhale app (formerly Whale) to upload pictures and the like from your mobile devices. You can invite friends via the app who then can share photos with your frame. I could see this option being great for sending photos of the kids to grandma in another stare. Just upload the photos and boom, grandma will see them on her frame.I havenโt tried the app for reasons Iโll go into below, but I will say that using the app with this device is not necessary. Since it has both local storage and the ability to use Mirco-SD cards, itโs completely possible and reasonable to use this frame in offline mode if you wanted to. And it works really well this way too.On to why I donโt give this frame 5 stars. I have to admit that having a no name frame connected to my network raises red flags for me. The problem is that the frame clearly uses some kind of operating system, likely based on android or linux. I have no idea what security is built into this thing, if there are back doors or if my data is being harvested. There is an App to use with the device and the app does seem legit as Iโve heard of Whale photo before, but the frame itself is kind of a question mark.None of the documentation really talks about security and given that itโs a no-name frame from who knows where, Iโm not sure I want to connect it to my network. Network attacks are increasingly common these days and there are a whole host of articles online about the dangers of all the poorly secured network devices manufacturers are pouring into our homes. I seriously wish manufacturers would be more up front about what security theyโre using in their devices. So the connected features of this frame are a nonstarter for me. But we will be using it as a nonconnected frame with an SD card. The leg up it has over the older nonconnected frame popular a decade ago are the better resolution screen, the really great menus system and the touch screen that makes it so easy to use.

I've always wanted a digital frame that was capable of receiving photos and videos via WIFI from friends and family! If you want to get creative, it's also possible to upload screenshots of notes and/or announcements created on your phone for your family members to view at home. You can also send "birthday" or special occasion greetings and attach a photo to the notification - the graphics for these greetings are very limited though, so that's why I would opt to use a separate app. A notification sound will play whenever a new photo is delivered to the frame (you can choose to turn this feature off, or customize the volume). You can also choose to schedule when the frame goes to "sleep" so you don't waste energy or receive notifications during certain hours. If you're a friend or family member that simply wants to share a photo to another person's frame, it literally only takes a few seconds to send something using the app after you are granted share access/rights.It's a touch screen interface, so configuring the frame settings is quite simple! However, you can only edit and see all of the photos on the frame locally when operating the frame itself - you cannot access or edit the entire album using the phone app, even if you're the owner! This is why it's a 4-star and not 5-star rating for me. Thankfully though, if you're the same person who sent/shared the photo to the frame, you can recall/delete it yourself from your phone, so I suppose that's a nice/handy feature, especially for accidental shares! With that said, I was really impressed with the solid packaging and the way the frame was presented out of the box - it's a pretty high quality product and I think it would also make the perfect gift for a family member who loves to see family photos without logging onto social media (i.e. grandma!). I just wish the makers of this product would update the app/capability of the frame and add a master account for owners so that they could edit the settings and entire album directly from the phone app - then it would be 5 stars from me!

First things first: the frame and the app both work great! The frame itself is basically a bare-bones Android tablet with a nice display that has a slide show running on it. The image quality is great. The app is easy to use. It's really a great looking product that works well. There's just one aspect of it that I am uncomfortable with:* Every file (vid/pic) you send from their app ultimately traverses the internet *unencrypted* before it gets to your frame.* It gets stored in a content distribution system ("CDS" - basically a big geo-redundant web server)* After the app uploads your photo or vid from your phone or tablet to the CDS, your frame gets instructed to download that file from the CDS.* SO: Your file is *not* just going from your phone to the frame; it is going to a big wide open web server on the internet and then *after* that your frame is being told where on the internet it can find that file.* If you know how to look, you can easily see this happening because little of that is encrypted in transit over the internet.* This means that you and *anyone else* can load your picture right into a web browser. No credentials required, no encryption. You just need the location. This lets you "talk to" your picture frame from your phone or tablet no matter where you are, and lets you easily share images on your frame with all your friends and relatives who presumably also bought this same product. It's a nice idea - basically you can send the Hawaii vacation pic you just took to grandma's picture frame in her living room so long as you have "friended" her.The part that bothers me personally is that aside from making the location of my data somewhat obscure, they aren't otherwise protecting it *at all*. It's out there for viewing by anyone who happens to have the right skills. So: read the privacy policy *carefully* and bear this in mind.If you're ok with all that this is a nice product.

The frame is easily set up and access shared with others. Slide show times are configurable from a few seconds per picture up to 24 hours. You can also swipe through the pics using the touchscreen and lock an image. Sleep mode will automatically turn the screen off for the period of time youโd like. You can still use the app to load to it even when in sleep mode.

We bought two of these for older relatives and they were a huge hit!!! I love the size of the display and how nicely packed everything is. My Tita loved how easy it was to add pictures! She was in the app and adding her own within minutes and to me that says a lot about ease of use!Thank you for a quality product.
