Easy and quick setup. Perfect for my sister to rest when working in the garden.

I got this canopy to use at home, while camping, and when attending my kid's sports games at the park. I was interested in this specific canopy because it was advertised as "instant pop up", and I thought that would be great for my needs. The pros: I really liked that it came with a convenient bag. This made transporting easier, and it was convenient for me to be able to store all of the stakes and such together. I found the whole canopy to be lightweight and easy to move around. Once assembled, it was fairly easy for me to "pop up" the canopy and set up where I needed it to be. This worked well for providing shelter from the sun and the rain. The cons: I found the canopy to be somewhat flimsy, and the Velcro that attached the metal frame to the tent/ tarp part of the canopy has come loose for me. The canopy allows the ability for the side walls to be lifted up and used to extend the shade from the canopy. However, I've never been able to use it that way because the support rods have been way too flimsy and unable to stay straight. While this did work to provide shade for me, and I found it easy to transport, I did not like how flimsy the overall canopy felt and that I couldn't use the slide flaps the way it is described in the product description. The Velcro coming loose was also a dissatisfier.

The tent goes up (or down) pretty quickly. This is a great canopy for shade in parks or backyards.. the key is low wind scenarios. We needed to wait to assemble this for the first time as it’s been fairly windy recently. The hooks are provided for anchors as well as sand bags that can be filled to hold down the legs as well. I’m sure it can survive some temporary windy days, but not something to leave up in your yard all year round. I mean this would be perfect at the beach, but we live on Lake Huron shores and its rarely perfectly calm.. but the sand bags will give it a fighting chance. I’ll try later.. it’s a heavy kit and with all the other things (SUP, and boogie boards, PFD’s, snacks and games etc.) we bring to the beach, this is a big ticket (heavy) item to also haul down. The design is pretty good. The assembly is quick especially with two people as the tent portion has the flaps built on and it’s a lot of extra material to fumble when it’s not extended. The legs do allow for multiple heights to potentially lessen that parachute effect. They lock in place with the spring locks. My opinion is that the telescopic legs are a little weak and those should have been beefed up. There are clear images of the bending when the strings were tightened a bit (which is very easy with the included aluminum friction bar).I seriously doubt that given what we saw when fully setup that we won’t likely use the flaps up. There is no way that it will survive any wind. Those twigs and twine won’t hold with much wind. The string needed to be stretched out and anchored pretty far which mean now the foot print is huge. For some quick shade, it’s easy to setup and it holds our 10ft hammock stand so this is a great pair. It was easy to take down as well. I have concerns about the durability of the little legs that telescopically come out and the velcro that is stitched on. This is one that will need to be cared for a little extra, but should do a good job for you. There are a few concerns about the leg holding up given the noticed bending already..It’s coming down to some of the extra intention that I likely won’t use seeing how it’s implemented. With a few items considered I offer a 3.5 star(s) conclusion, but since I can’t give fractions I will round up to 4 stars unless something strange comes up.

You can get a better canopy tent from Walmart for cheaper. The sides seem like a great idea until you realize you have to pin them to the ground with string. They also block airflow while down as walls and flap around a lot. It functioned fine for my event up until the end when the button to collapse the leg got stuck inside because something else came undone. Thankfully my father fixed it, but it was frustrating, and it will probably happen again.update: While it was fixable before it is no longer worth the hassle. Some plastic piece came off and now one of the telescope bars on the legs is stuck inside. Suffice to say it is now where it belongs, in the dumpster. :(

Bought this tent for camping but some rain and wind completely broke it! So disappointed
