How to use it ?
Installation is as easy as drilling a small hole in the container, sliding the float in and attaching using the included nut. And then pop in your 1/4" tubing into 90 degree 1/4 tube fitting , pushing until it won't go in. To remove, just push in the outer circle on either end and pull right out. You need to make sure the tubing is cut squared to insure no leaks.

I utilized this float valve to refill the water reservoir in my Keurig coffee maker.Removing one star as the valve wouldn't fully shutoff the flow of water until I installed a pressure regulator to reduce the water pressure going to the unit (search Amazon for 1/4" pressure relief valve, I paid $10).Other than the pressure regulator the only other modification I needed to make is a float level adjustment which required the plastic pin to be removed from the assembly (cut the end off and pushed it out by hand). With the pin out the float level can be moved up or down to the desired level. I replaced the pin with a stainless steel 10-32 x 1/2" machine screw and wing nut from the local hardware store to keep the float at the desired level.

I wanted this to make my Keurig a "never-have-to-fill-again" Keurig. The idea worked, and the piping and connecters were fine, but the float never really shuts off and even with plumber's tape I can't get the threaded seal to stop leaking.

Does not stop flowing completely, and that unnoticeable seepage really adds up overnight.
