In our business we have the ability to make our own hoses with an in-house crimper. I have now used a few of these fittings and find them to be reasonably good. There may be (ARE) some applications that require premium grade fittings but for a skidder or farm equipment, these are perfectly fine and the price is right!!!Highly Recommended.

These seem like a good value. The ferrule is quite small in diameter and would work best with a thinner hose like 100r1 or 100r17. They will not work with the cheap 100r2 hose I intended to use them with. I just wish the details section gave you this information.

These fittings always work great with all my original dies and settings. Much cheaper than getting the ones my machine recommends. I make up hoses almost exclusively for my own equipment and have had no failures of or, at the fittings in about a year and a half. Only failures I have had were in the hoses themselves. Cuts mostly. These fittings are a great deal for me.

I am using a Gates Mobile-Crimp hydraulic crimp press with Mega-crimp dies. The most important thing is to verify that you have crimped the fitting down to the proper diameter. You need to use the chart that came with your crimp press to determine the finished diameter of the crimp. This diameter is determined by the type hose you are using. Undercrimped or overcrimped fittings will end up blowing off, so take the extra time to verify. Refer to your chart and measure with a digital caliper. That is the most important thing to ensure you make a hose that will last a long time and is safe.These JIC fittings are well made and cost less than the name brand fittings.
