I use this on my two desks in different areas of my home. This allows our parrot to hang out at the desk with me like she loves to. The only downside of course is parrots poop every 10 or so minutes, so you don't have any poop catch underneath. Simple fix of course.Very configurable for different hights and also allows me to setup in the kitchen when cooking so she can hang with us in there. Finding good perches are hard and this one is real wood, so that is a real bonus.We'll probably grab another so we don't need to keep moving it. Wish I bought one earlier.

I haven't found a table or surface other than my counter (with the door open) that can accommodate the depth requirements of two inches, All my surfaces have a small lip an inch in. The perch looks great, I would never use the paper clip and food bowls, there are sharp parts as well as the question of the metal quality. Metal toxicity from metals that are not unplaited stainless can very quickly poison birds. The clip and the screws/nuts for the bowls are not stainless (the screws have copper showing through in areas.) I subscribe to better safe than sorry.
