I got this mouthpiece assuming it had a laquer color but it did not. It's more of a dark golden raw brass color. The mouthpiece works fine and I just wanted to get it to add to my collection. Would recommend by if you have the money I would suggest getting a Bach gold plated 3c, 5c, 7c

Bought this to see if it would fit an old bugle we had that was missing the mouthpiece. Required cutting off a little bit of the new mouthpiece to make it seat all the way which may affect the sound, but it’s more a toy for the kids anyway and we can still get it to bugle

I thought I'd try this mouthpiece after playing on 5Cs and 7Cs all my life. Not a bad mouthpiece, and the cup is polished smooth. I tried another brand of a heavier, V-shaped mouthpiece and the cup was pretty rough by comparison. Would make a decent back-up if needed?
