they were dark on arrival as expected so put in oven on a baking sheet at 250 F as directed for 90 minutes would not change color so put back in oven 30 more minute still no change in color same as when they arrived. Very poor product.

The colours changing is a good indicator and it is great that these can be baked and reused. I’ve already done this once.I’m not sure what other reviewers are expecting. I work with sensitive equipment and can say that this product is meeting my expectations. For something moe aggressive, I use a dehumidifier.

A good value, and you can renew them in the oven. The case is good quality metal.

Best feature: These go anywhere. The status window is a bit dark, so the beads can look darker than they really are. My biggest complaint with this would be the recharging process can be a bit messy. Taking the pellets out, putting them in a tray, warming these in an oven then putting them back in the container is guaranteed to have you chasing around a few errant desiccant balls so you don't lose any. It is almost impossible to get them all back in the container without having to chase down a few.

Works as advertised. I use one per rubbermaid cereal box with filament. Better than pouch, put in the oven to reactivate.

I read the single star reviews after the purchase and if I read I would have held off. The desiccant was not spent. The cannisters were individually sealed and again both cartridges were sealed again and finally an additional wraping. Well packed. They well be placed in a confined space of maybe cubic foot. I rated the product only 4 stars as it is too soon to determine the efficiency and life span.

These things are to keep humidity under control in 3 cu ft. That’s not a large area, but it’s perfect for my document’s fireproof safe. I bought this 2 pack and put them both inside. It’s been a while (over a year!) and they were deep green or black when I checked on them. I took both boxes and opened them. Then I dumped each box into a loaf pan (like you use to make banana bread) and put both pans in my Air Fryer for 30 minutes at 200°. The beads came out bright orange. The Air Fryer is a convection oven, and I used the Dehydrator setting for more air flow. I think people are having problems because they are keeping them in the original container when. They try to dry them out. Give them room to breathe and air out. Then I made sure the plastic “windows” were secure on the boxes - lost one, so used clear tape on both sides - and put the beads back inside. I also secured each box with a rubber band for extra protection. I like these. I’d buy again if needed.

This is a reusable silica gel canister. It's cheap.Silica gel isn't for all situations. It's good for closed containers that aren't opened frequently. It is slow to adsorb (yes, adsorb, it does not absorb). The containers are good. The gaps in the joints are a non issue. It requires a ton of force to split the halves at least on the set I got. I swapped the silica gel out for 3A molecular sieves anyway but I did test the silica gel used by dumping it in some water and it quickly turned black. Very black. Shine the thing under some light and you can certainly tell the difference. They get darker as they adsorb more so they will be various shades of black. For $4 each this is a pretty good deal but know what you're getting and what to expect. You might want to consider other agents such as calcium chloride aka damp-rid (will make puddles), molecular sieves, or an electronic dehumidifier.

These came as a two-pack, plastic sealed, then individually plastic sealed. They are a deep-purple color looking through the little window, NOT red. But also not green (the color is says to reactivate at). Overall, a great deal for a two-pack, and they've finally figured out they need to seal them good before shipping from China!

it's convenient product, I placed them in the bin where I store the PLA filament spools, I don't know if this helps, can't really tell one way or the other. I would buy it again if needed.

These are the best on the market right now for quality vs. price. They work exactly as indicating silica gel beads should. To the people who have had the little window destroyed during recharging: place these on the bottom rack of the oven on a cookie sheet or something similar. If they are subjected to intense/direct radiative heat from the heating coils in your oven yes the little windows will go bad. That is true of literally any brand of desicant canister. If they don't recharge in 3 hrs (which I have had happen with other brands of these) taking the top off the canister helps, or just let them go longer.
