Apart from fitting perfectly it creates a 2 tier space where you can store under it and have the most needed items at the tip of your hands.

I bought a new VW ID.4 & though the middle console has plenty of storage room & very deep, I wanted to have storage where I could easily grab my keys & wallet & not have to go digging. Great quality for the price & the color keyed rubber inserts is a nice touch!
