I have allergies and work from home so instead of waiting 6 months to swap these out, I usually do it sooner around every 3-4 months. These filters have a finer mesh than the Bissell brand ones. These also seem to be catching more visible allergens in the filter compared to the brand name ones. Attached is a pic of a new filter bought today in May shown on my arm versus the old one that was put in, in February.

The price is great, however, it does not fit well enough to be able to lock the lid on the unit.
