First, the filter design does not match the original design. Does not indicate the direction of air flow (this in important). The removal tabs are on the inside of the filter once installed. So, after you install it, you cannot use the removal tabs to remove the filter. So, since the front and back of the filters are different, I installed the filter to match the original ones from Jafanda. Any filter of this type should AWAYS show the direction of air flow.

I ordered this compatible filter to replace the original JF999 filter. However, I found it has design issues. The original filter has lift tab on the front and sponge seal on the front as well. This one has opposite design, so you can’t take out the filter after you put into its place. Also the sponge seal is now on the back, dirt air won’t be blocked from the front gap. Please look at the photos I took.

It was easier to install these filters than it was to get the JKF100 Air Purifier to stop showing the "change filter" red led. Anyways, the filter fits, and it works!
