My wife needed a boost to get into my lifted Wrangler but I didn't want a step hanging down reducing clearance. I sewed some nylon webbing onto one of these and hung it using one of the seat mounting bolts in the Jeep. It works perfectly for her to get in, easy to deploy and pull back inside. Because it's mounted using webbing, it won't hurt anything if she forgets and closes the door without pulling it back inside - although I'm sure the stirrup would bang around in the wind.I'm not sure how sturdy a plastic stirrup would be for riding horses, but for a boost into a vehicle, it's a good value.
