Bought 2 to replace old bottle openers. Tried to open bottles of sparkling cider New Years Eve and they could not open the bottle. We would hook the small lip under the bottle cap, the lift up to "pop the top" but the opener just slides off. It does not hang onto the bottle cap. Ended up using the can opener half to get the bottle cap loosened enough we could take it off and toast the New Year. I'm not engineer but my guess is that the metal lip that is to catch under the bottle cap is too short.

I mean, yeah these are great. the magnets are super strong and it’s helpful to finally have bottle openers in the house!

The only way to open a beer when in my youth. Church key works. Plenty sharp to punch a hole in the can. People have been complaining about the grip on the can but if it’s a major problem then a pair a pliers to close the space up will do you right nice. Magnet is strong for refrigerator door use. Months using and as of yet rust free. pops bottle cap perfectly.

I asked for this an a store and I guess that’s not a thing anymore. But you can find everything on Amazon. If you need a Church Key you are in luck and who doesn’t love magnets!

nice and handy for opening glass jars you just slip the pointy end under the lid and press down,so much easier to use than other gadgets out there; magnet makes it handy to put on fridge and find when needed.good little gift ides and stocking stuffers for adults

Don't bother buying this product. The second can I opened it literally bent backwards and the magnet fell out.

The metal is heavily built which makes it sturdy, and a good magnet, but the pointed end is too blunt, and should be sharper, as it is hard to punch through the top of a can. Also, it is too long, resulting in a punched hole that is far from the lip of the can. For evaporated milk, this leaves a long smear of dried milk on the top.
