I got these LP-E17 batteries for my Canon SL2 camera which only came with one battery. I would sometimes run out of battery power and without a backup battery my photo shoot would be over prematurely. Then I would have to find an AC outlet and plug in to charge the battery which would take several hours. This 3-pack is a fantastic solution and I now have enough battery power to last the entire day and more. Each battery fits perfectly in my SL2 and at 1450mAh lasts longer than the original OEM battery (1040mAh).The triple-charger is USB powered and can work with USB-C and micro-USB. The power source can be an AC wall outlet, laptop, powerbank, and even the 12V car charger, which is ideal for me, especially when I am on the go outdoors with no AC source nearby. The charger displays the level of charge for each battery and stops when it is fully charged. It has built-in intelligent chip, over-voltage protection, over-current protection, short circuit protection, high-temperature and over-charge protection. It is so convenient that I can now charge up to three batteries simultaneously. However, it is important to note that these replacement batteries do not work in the OEM charger. You must use the triple-charger to charge them. Funnily, the OEM battery will work in the triple-charger just fine.If your Canon camera uses LP-E17 batteries, this 3-pack plus charger is a great replacement battery option at a fantastic price.

Powerextra Pro 3 Pack LP-E17 1450mAH Battery Charger Review. This battery charger and three-pack battery combo are ideal when I need more than one battery for a photo or video project. The batteries fit perfectly in my Canon SL2. The batteries function the same as the stock variant, and I can see the battery level meter on the camera's foldout viewscreen. The description of "what you get" concerning cabling is inaccurate. This charger is not AC-powered. A USB-A to micro USB cable is included, but the charger can accommodate a USB-C cable for charging the batteries. I recommend getting a USB-C to USB-C or a USB-A to USB-C cable to use the charger in a vehicle or with a power bank. A phone charger will work as well. The charging indicator display is easy to read at a glance. The batteries sit at a very slight angle due to the spring-loaded charging pins, but despite this observation, they charge without issue. However, the batteries will lose some charge when stored for a week or two. Oddly, my camera shows a full charge when the charger displays three out of four segments. The following is an estimation of battery life testing. Using the SL2 with an 18-55mm lens in movie mode, I estimate about 35 to 40 minutes indoors of continuous operation. Outdoors, in cold weather, expect about 30 minutes of continuous operation. This number may be less depending on how cold it is outdoors. With three batteries depleted, they require approximately three hours to fully charge using an 18-watt phone charger. The charger allows you to charge one, two or all three batteries. When charging is complete, the display turns off.The device's portability is a significant advantage, allowing it to be easily packed into a camera bag or backpack. The included microfibre cleaning cloth is a nice gesture. Overall, I am satisfied with this product!

My big sore spot with camera batteries is when they quickly discharge when being stored. Unfortunately, these Powerextra batteries don't seem to perform overly well on that measure. After charging these batteries up, I let them sit on a shelf for about 3 weeks and within that time they seem to have discharged by 25-50%. At least, that's what the charger seems to indicate when I put them in to charge up again.Sadly, I can't confirm that state of discharge with my camera as none of the three batteries I received works with the battery charge indicator on my Canon EOS M5. With these batteries in, the charge indicator is entirely absent and doesn't return until I insert a factory battery again. Further, these batteries will not charge in the factory Canon charger, although my factory Canon batteries will charge in the Powerextra charger. While the included charger is pretty slick, with easy-to-read charging levels and the ability to charge all three batteries at once, the top and center slots on mine have a hard time maintaining contact with the battery for charging. Often I will put the battery in, the charge will start, then stop, and I have to push the battery down again to get it to continue. For some reason the battery tends to rise up out of the slot and lose contact with the charging prongs.Unfortunately, these are big enough drawbacks to make these batteries hard to recommend, even though the batteries perform well enough when fully charged and in use.
